Love John Browne. Does a lot of great research into things I wonder about but am too lazy to do myself.
The pickup shootout will always be hard because you have more variables than other types. Pickup height. Poles. Bridge Spacing. Playing consistently vs reamping.
Isolating just the impacting...
Congrats. I have an Octane as well and enjoy it. Looks badass with the lighter faceplate. The Hellrazor is one I have almost pulled the trigger on a few times but have had reservations for the reasons you listed. I hope you get it dialed in. Still drooling at that Hermasson PA head.
Good call sir. I definitely am a bit frustrated. They got rid of a lot of options they used to do that are on some of my others. Example no more direct mount pickups. Things like that. I asked on the compound and said they won’t altar the specs of the model like that. I asked them to ask PRS...
I go back and forth between gibson/suhr/PRS. So scale length is probably less important. But I bond with flatter radius guitars. I was more surprised I sort of had to make a choice which got me thinking. Y'all are reinforcing my decision to go Holcomb

Hey all,
Up for sale is a 2013 PRS Custom 24 with the Artist Package. It is in a trampa green burst, highly flamed maple neck. Ebony headstock veneer. Artist bird inlays. PRS 57/08 pickups. I cannot find any marks on the body besides polish marks. Has PRS Artist case as well. 3250 shipped
There’s a lot of great options. I like the Landry g3 and Moab the most for this. MGL would also be on that list.
Splawn is cool. It’s a little tighter and drier than others. Some people love/hate the mids.
The bogner helios would be closest to what you’re looking for from his line.
Hard to...
The biggest thing that changes for me is how bright I like my amps. It seems to vary mostly on style of music I am playing at the time.
When I go back and toss my amps on a switcher and match volume the things I tend to like in terms of blend of gain/frequency pushes and cuts are all pretty...
