Don't discount the Tremonti Treble pickup. It's like the \m/ pickup but just a little more of everything. Totally fucking slays.
My #1 is a core Tremonti "Baritone" as it is 25.5". It will go with me to the grave. I also have a Holcomb SE with Evertune bridge. For a roughly $1k guitar the...
I dunno, I have days where some of my gear sounds worse than I remember but I never hate the way all of my gear sounds. In my early days I used to really struggle, but then I took the time to really try out my cab in different locations in my room, experiment with different cabs/speakers, and...
I have an FM9 that I'm using in 4cm strictly for effects. I've noticed something similar when using the Axe's 10 band EQ in the loops of my amps. Compared to my analog eq pedals, the bass response is a bit more blurry. However, rolling off below about 80hz has mostly solved this and is something...
Hard to distinguish the sarcasm from the real underlying intention of this thread...
I play my 100w tube amps at all volumes, from late night practice to pant flapping adrenaline rushes. In all circumstances at any volume, I always prefer my tube amps to any other option. But if you think...
I had the Super Kraken briefly. Sounded cool, needed to be cranked and desperately needed a presence control. Looks like they have addressed some of this with the newer Kraken model. I'd like to try it sometime but not in a hurry.
I don't know about you guys but it seems like after a bit of a...
Great write-up and clips man! I think it is only natural and fitting for a low to mid gain player to prefer channel 2 on this amp. However, I can say that you should spend some more time on channel 3 as you get more time with the amp. The clarity is there in spades!
I can get killer Zeppelin...
This amp is stellar. I took a chance based on clips and ordered one direct from Jason. I've never played a channel switcher that covers so much ground. The clarity is unreal and hard to capture in clips. Totally in love with the Alta, nice chops and thanks for the clip!
Good to know about the MV specs, but yeah I also wouldn't write it off just yet. Crank up those sliders where you want them, give it an extra goose with the MV and you very well may be in business. We'll see what the noise floor is like.
All I did was google Rivera Rockcrusher, and the website says
Load box and attenuator function up to 120W RMS capacity
If it can actually handle 300w then great.
Some quick googling, max RMS:
Two Notes Captor: 100w
Fractal LB-2: 100w
Rivera Rockcrusher: 120w
Suhr RL: 150w
Mesa Powerhouse: 150w
Boss TAE: 150w but questionable
Power Station: 2/4 ohms 200w, 8 ohms 150w, 16 ohms 200w
I also owned a PS-2 and PS-100, returned both. Cool features but for...
I went all in on Synergy gear a couple years ago, but just finished selling it all off. The tones and feel are excellent no doubt. At one point I had 10 modules and they just all sounded so similar that I started selling them off one by one. It was a genuine lesson in how much the power amp...
Chris is a great and honest seller. The pedal was priced fairly, communication was reliable, and shipping was fast. Received exactly as described. Cheers!
I was curious so I checked out a bunch of past listings on Reverb for 2150's. FYI you can look up all the past listings for a specific product by searching for the product and then adding the following clause on to the end of the url: &showsold=true
So I typed this into my browser's bar...
I have a Classic XXX and 2150, and agree that the voicing switch is wonderful. Instantly toggle between warmer, rounder mids with slightly rolled off highs or a more aggressive tone with beefier lows and highs. Then fine tune everything with the ultra responsive presence and depth knobs.
The...
Meh, I've owned a number of gates as well and to me the change in tone has always been pretty subtle. To me it's not really sucking tone, just altering it slightly and it's pretty fucking easy to add back in what you want like Techdeth said. The Zuul+ is badass, as is the Revv G8.
