    The IIC+reissue goes live Dec. 3rd. $3599

I’m not actively looking anymore. But on most of the market place apps you can turn notifications on for your searches. So you just check whenever a Mesa Boogie or Mark III or whatever gets listed. As I’ve said, some people are too lazy to research what they sell. I’ve seen many C+s listed as...

    The IIC+reissue goes live Dec. 3rd. $3599

I understand that’s it’s very hard to live in Ukraine, especially now. I’m really sorry you have to go through all that. It really sucks. It wasn’t aimed at you, but more in general. I also wonder if you are confusing me with someone else? I don’t post much on YouTube and haven’t posted...

    The IIC+reissue goes live Dec. 3rd. $3599

This is nothing personal towards you, so don’t take it that way. It’s just that I hear this all the time. A C+ is just for rich people bla bla bla. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; a IIC+ doesn’t have to cost 10-15K euro. You can’t just check Reverb once in a while and expect a cheap...

A Lesson In Tone: Master Of Puppets

Yeah they probably owned and used cabs with 65’s. But you’ve got to remember that Puppets was recorded in Denmark. I doubt they flew over a bunch of cabs from the US. The cabs used were most likely property of Sweet Silence. Flemming has stated that they had about a dozen cabs in the studio...

It’s not only in the notes for Battery though.

A Lesson In Tone: Master Of Puppets

The cabs used were 300W according to Flemming’s notes. So the speakers had to be G12T-75s. Which would be era correct for a JCM800 cab from 1985.

You probably used too much gain. I personally love how the notes saturate earlier on ++. So you can actually use less gain and get a tighter tone. The treble knob is very effective on ++. I usually run treble around 5 on ++.

What does the extra 12ax7 do?

    The IIC+reissue goes live Dec. 3rd. $3599

Yea probably. I’d love to try an earlier DRG sometime.

    The IIC+reissue goes live Dec. 3rd. $3599

Some time during the latter part of the production of the C+ they made some changes to the preamp on the simuls. I don’t know the technical stuff, somebody can probably chime in on that. But there’s some different value caps and resistors and a cap that’s removed. That made them brighter...

Yeah a KRG and a KDRG simul Coli, both with the switchable ++ mod. The others are a stock C+ bright version simul DRGX and a DRG +/++.

I guess I could always use an extra kidney ? Seriously though, I haven’t really thought about what the price would be if I sell one. I probably should sell one or two, I don’t really need four of them ? But they are all so incredibly good sounding and fun to play so I can’t really bring myself...

    Mesa Mark IIC+ Questions

A long head, nice! I suppose the graphic EQ has been added as it has a Mark III faceplate. What power section? All long heads have the full/half power switch on front, so that doesn’t say much if it’s 100/60W or simul-class.

    The IIC+reissue goes live Dec. 3rd. $3599

25W class A, doesn’t that sound more like pentode? The OG simul-class is 75/15W. So if 75/25W is correct for the reissue, they won’t be the same.

Mesa Boogie Mark III wattage question

That makes sense. I don’t think simul-class was introduced until the very end of the IIB. So it might have not been possible to make it a full simul? Either way, both simul and non simul Colis are awesome ??
  19. NineShallDie

Mesa Boogie Mark III wattage question

Well, actually not quite. This is what Mike B told me about the C+ simul Coli. You can put 6L6’s or EL34’s in the middle sockets if you wish. The non simul Coli is 180W and can only take 6L6’s though.

    Which 2C+ exactly?

Were the Mark III’s short heads maybe? The long heads all have the full/half power switch on the front, regardless of the power section.
