Hate to say it but since the specs are contradictory between the description and the spec list on the item page and their policy is no returns on closeouts you're probably SOL
I actually saw this tour at the tail end of '87... that recording sucks lol Going to say the mic is cutting out a ton of low end as that is almost painful and was definitely not like that in person.
I've got a lot of amps already, and honestly the only stuff I've seen used that I would pick up is a couple hundred bucks off new price. If it's only $200 less I'll just buy new if I really want one.
Glad you're having a good time and you definitely found some cool gear, but I'd also really glad you're getting back to winding.
I've got a gold top standard here that would probably be perfect for a "Morning Wood" set, loved your clips of the prototypes.
Yeah Berrang (sp?) was fucking stuff up and went under and they couldn't find another company to build them.
Good to know there were actually components under the board. I still maintain the board redesign was a red herring to try to keep people from bitching about the failure to deliver amps...
Also there's really nothing magic about the design. it a 3/4 gain stage (counting cathode follower) Marshall-based Jose circuit with high power amp filtering values and Mark's well-known NFB circuit
Pretty sure the upside down PCB thing was bullshit used an excuse for why they weren't delivering amps towards the end when they couldn't find somebody to build them... I've never seen a gutshot of an "upside down" CCV and my understanding was they used the exact same PCB design as the prepro...
