Of Petrucci's specific amp with things set up the way he likes it... ie gain pull hard wired on and a couple other options hardwired IIRC
How many IIC+ variants are there again? 5? 6?
The Lexi was the amp he was doing that I wanted, but he discontinued it before I got around to order one.
Got to love the guy trying to sell one on Reverb for $3430... they were $2750 AFTER Landry raised the price on them lol
Best for what? Worst for what? Based on what? Example, sometimes I like playing old Rainbow... none of these four amps are very good for that and of all the stuff I have the custom cascaded 100w Marshall Major is the best. But I wouldn't try to play modern metal on it lol You're playing some...
Like most Jose-based circuits you can get in the ballpark but the Camerons have their own feel and voicing. At the end of the day all of these are somewhat similar as they're high-gain Marshall derived circuits but each amp has its own thing going on.
No lol Mainly because it's completely...
Haven't gotten much play time in with the Hellion yet and it has a million options BUT
The Hellion and the Skeleton Key can both get that modern klank dialed in if you want it but the Skeleton Key has it's own voicing going and has a mid range that seems to be a Monomyth trademark from the...
Sort of makes sense IIRC the circuit was basically a master volume Marshall with a bunch of internal filtering / eq by inductors to try to make it sound like an old Marshall. Haven't seen anything about the internal of the MkII
Yeah that was probably the biggest "Oh really?" from the whole vid lol I actually have an SLP reissue here that Dave did that mod on and while the tone is right it definitely has less gain than I was expecting. Makes me wonder if the other amp just has the diode clipping option with the same...
Yellow was listed as a Sweetwater exclusive, there was no implication of any circuit differences. They've done this with a bunch of other stuff as well including the Andy Timmons pedals in Sweetwater exclusive colors.
