That sounds like what I want! I don't mind loosing out on the cleans if not having to need a boost. That just sounds awesome! But what's the difference between the C and D? This way I can know the differences and discuss it with the guys at Mesa.

What differences would going to Rec C/D do for the tone?

I used to run stereo rigs all the time with my Radial ToneBone. Sound like you fixed the problem. My favorite set is a ENGL SE and VHT UL. Pure gape/gostse/fistse <-in that order
