Channel 4 sounds fantastic for solos and leads. Channel 3 gives that tight rock/metal tone, so it's my default.

Hard to beat a VH4 in a band mix! I also like the JVM (have a 210 combo and 410 head myself) so I bet the VH4 + JVM combo sounds killer!

Diezel is all about the high quality, heavy duty components, build and sound. Boutique, baby! :rock:

Meaning the effects out front, fed into the amp, don't sound too hot?

Hello everyone, Does anyone here use a Fractal Ax FX for their effects on their Diezel amp? I really enjoy all of the effects sounds I've heard from them, but will not sacrifice my VH4 tone...FOR ANYTHING :rock: But I was thinking, especially with the new FX 8...

There is probably an amp backstage that is mic'd up. Some bands do this to cut down on stage noise.

That was great! Loved the industrial feel, the Tool-esque baseline and I enjoyed the guitar tone.

I went back into the studio and added some upper midrange - sounds great! Reworking the mix a bit too for some more lows/bass. I appreciate your input! (as well as the others :rock: )

While you don't get a "true" tube amp tone at low volume, Diezels have plenty of gain at lower volumes. More than you would want!

Thanks for the compliment! The guitars do tend towards the left a little bit, we'll fix that before we print to CD. We're happy with the bass level, though.

Hey all, My band just posted up a new song - it's called Electrify. I recorded this tune with my Diezel Vh4 w/ 2x12 RL Cab, and with a PRS McCartey and Modern Eagle 2. I was originally going to use a Marshall for this track, but I found I was able to dial in a great 80's hard rock tone...with...

On my Marshalls, I use a tubescreamer because I gives me that "Marshall sound". On the Diezel, I don't really have a need for a boost. If I need more gain, I can switch to channel 4 on the VH4 for a solo, or just turn up on Channel 3.

The sad reality is that everything you purchase, be it musical equipment or a vehicle, takes a big dip in value the minute you own it.

Thanks for the opinions. Unfortunately the music stores around me only have a couple of Crybaby's, so I have to order online...do my research and hope for the best. I thinking between the CAE and Fulltone Clyde.
