I wish I had some for ya. I haven't heard anything new that was good in ages. I do know Warbringer has a new album out just released and I'm gonna go buy it now actually now that I remember. Just listened to this now for the first time and I love it. I love how they started out as retro thrash...
I would've LOVED to have at least Randy play woth Ozzy for one more album; I feel like Diary (the song) was a hint of amazing things to come.
But if you change one thing, everything changes..and we would've never had Bark at the moon, etc...
Yes I did the same thing by turning the treble all the way down. I got it to it's most usable form possible to my ears, but after weeks of playing that amp, then plugging back into any other amp I have, the difference was night and day and realized those Kettner amps just can't be saved. It's...
Hughes and Kettner grandneister 40
Hughes and Kettner Black Spirit 200
Both sounds the same. Grainy gain structure that is annoying and inherent.
Sounds decent in a recording I'm sure but not solo.
(My Black Spirit head is for sale if anyone is interested. Foot controller too. Name your price)
I love 311. However with full bloom, I couldn't listen to it more than twice. Major flop. The songs struggle to have identity. Their previous album only being slightly better.
Hot take: Brent was my least favorite part of the band. Couldn't stand his voice, or his face. They haven't written anything great since long ago so might as well bring in new blood.
I do see the value in recording (draft/demo/rough) this way, in order to lay down the foundation and to get your "ducks in a row".
But then you bet your bippy ass you better be able to play and record the whole thing through for your final!
I've never even tried a Savage 120 before but I do know that I need to own one. Does it have its own Character or does it sound like anything in the 5150 family?
