with just hired hands?
I personally am not a big fan but like a few songs. I've heard that the lead singer is pretty much the band. The rest of them have been interchanged with replacements a lot the last few years. If that's true it doesn't seem like much of a band to me.
I saw that also but the upgrade doesn't sound very cheap (pricewise) if you already own a SLO with the older loop and want it modded.
Also heard MIke had a updated SLO amp in the works, guess a SLO II or something to that nature.
The Hot Rod 25 loop is great!
I actually prefer the Hot Rod 25 tonally, even though it and SLO are very close tonally IMO. Played them side by side before buying and the 25 was my choice. Don't regret it after 4 years of home, practice and gigging.
Most will always say the SLO when Soldano is mentioned because it is Mikes...
Personally from my experience, the '76 Gibson Reissue Explorers are where it's at. I've owned many of them but the '76 Reissues have always seemed to sound and play the best??
I really liked the JP2C I played. Just didn't like it as much as my Mark IV. Tonally I prefer the Mark IV over any other Mesa Mark I've owned or played.
It seems legit but it's just your basic Les Paul Custom Silverburst of recent. It will have a Richlite fingerboard, 490/498 pickups, etc... The 1894-2014 back cover plate is something Gibson used on alot of the 2014 models. It's not a rare guitar. Gibson did not make Les Paul Customs in...
Thanks guys. I'm still undecided about it myself but I'm going to leave it on for now.
I've owned and played/gigged the guitar off and on for the last 10+ years. It's a killer guitar but it's not perfect anyway so the sticker isn't going to hurt it and I can always pull it off if I get sick...
Thoughts? It's actually a reflective gold stripe, hard to tell in the picture. I like it but still undecided. Just was looking to mix it up some after owning it for 10 years or so now.
Keep it or lose it?
I like the new single ok but it does sound very similar to everything they have done since Duvall joining. I personally think Jerry needs to let Duvall be the lead singer, like others have stated, and Jerry stick with the harmony parts. He seems reluctant to do so though after all this time.
They definitely have talent and seem to be growing somewhat popular on the rock scene with their few Zep hit songs. IMO if they ever want to be something long term though they are going to have to ditch the whole Led Zep cover vibe and do their own thing.
My '94 Trem-o-verb was the first Mesa Boogie I ever bought and is still my favorite. Such a beast of a amp, sounds so killer and is so versatile.
With a boost it's a monster and the best sounding of all the Rectifiers to my ears. They are really under rated on the used market IMO.
