Yeah, I saw the King Kong but doesn't seem the higher gain channels sound much different from the Chupacabra. Just more options overall.

Seems the Chupacabra is what I am looking for but looking for player and owner suggestions too. Also I am wondering the tonal differences between the 100 and 50? I kind of would prefer the 50 regardless of the amp but do not want to lose tone by going the 50. If that makes sense.

I use to own a VHT 50CL with onboard EQ. I really liked it but traded it for a Mesa Mark IV that I still own. Best trade I ever made for me personally. I love the Mark IV so much more. The VHT was just way to dry IMO.

I agree. I think "Thirteenth Step" was a killer album. I love "Mer De Noms" too but "Thirteenth" was right there with it IMO. Love both. I hope this new album is in their league and after a few listens to the new song, I really like it. I hope there is some heavier stuff on there like "Mer"...
