I've heard the same thing from the Japanese dealers I know but I just have not found them to be the same. Not that the EII's are bad. They are really nice but from my experience they do seem to be a little lesser than the older ESP Standards. Just my experience and opinion.
Personally I wish...
I personally do not think the Soldano Hot Rod 25 falls short at anything. If you do not play the SLO then why keep it. Buy something you will enjoy more. The Hot Rod 25 might be that amp. I personally find my HR25 to be amazing at home and at gigs. It does it all at all volumes and sounds...
The Gear Page is only political if you want it to be. Both Rig Talk and TGP are really good forums IMO. Personally never had any issues here or on TGP. Love both.
Played a SLO and Hot Rod 25 side by side and preferred the HR25 overall so I ordered one new. That was over 4 years ago and I still love it today more than ever. They are almost identical tonally IMO.
The Hot Rod 25 is Mike's 25th anniversary model. He made sure he did it properly, no short...
Seems the Chupacabra is what I am looking for but looking for player and owner suggestions too.
Also I am wondering the tonal differences between the 100 and 50? I kind of would prefer the 50 regardless of the amp but do not want to lose tone by going the 50. If that makes sense.
I use to own a VHT 50CL with onboard EQ. I really liked it but traded it for a Mesa Mark IV that I still own. Best trade I ever made for me personally. I love the Mark IV so much more. The VHT was just way to dry IMO.
Surprised it seems no one here owns one yet. I am considering one but looking for real world reviews beforehand. There seems to be very little out there about the VH2 at this moment.
I agree. I miss the old ESP line. I've owned Ltd.'s and even a few E-II's but none of them lasted long before I sold them. My older ESP Standards and Customs are all that I still have. They just feel, play and sound better to me.
I don't understand the E-II rebranding thing. ESP states that...
Congratulations!! Definitely reply back with a full review once you have ran it through its paces.
Love the Friedman JJ. If I ever own a Friedman amp it will be the one. Just hoping to find a used one for the right price.
I agree. I think "Thirteenth Step" was a killer album. I love "Mer De Noms" too but "Thirteenth" was right there with it IMO. Love both.
I hope this new album is in their league and after a few listens to the new song, I really like it. I hope there is some heavier stuff on there like "Mer"...
Same here!
What do you think of the first single, "The Doomed"?
I personally like it after several listens but hope they do some heavier stuff on the new album.
 This is the way a forum should be monitored IMO. Police yourself for the most part and if you don't like it here get out and go elsewhere. If you are a total troll then banned.
