+1 I have the 85/60 combo. The 60 does some sweet cleans in the neck and I love the 85 in the bridge...it is thick and I think has more growl than the 81 IMO. Also, I like the 60 in the neck better than the 85...nicer cleans, but is a bit looser that the 85 when distorted.

I just had a Tung Sol go bad in the V1 of my Mark IV...only a couple weeks old too :thumbsdown:

My Mark IV will always stay...mostly because I love the hell out of that amp, secondly because my woman would shoot me if I got rid of it...

I have had more bad experiences with that site than good. On the other hand, I have had nothing but good luck with American Musical.

The reason I ask is I was told recently that JJ 6L6's were biased too cold to use in a mark IV. I know I had heard of people using them, just wondering if there is a trick or something... :confused:
