A big part of it is following THEIR packing guidelines. I think we've all received packages and have been astonished at what some people think passes for well-packed. We need to look at what well-packed means to the companies who actually know what they're putting our shipments through.

The Synergy stuff is what the MTS stuff should have been. MTS was good, but not quite there. The Randall RT2/50 was the star of the MTS line, and in my opinion, still the poweramp to have for the modular stuff. I still have a dual-channel M4 and RT2/50, and I'd have to be in pretty dire straits...
Sorry, OP. That sucks. I agree with the others though that it could very likely be damage in transit. V-style guitars are primarily what I play, and I won't buy ANY guitar online that doesn't ship in a hard case.
I never ship without two rigid containers around a guitar, with at least one of...
In 1987 I bought a blueburst strat-style Cort Effector from Sears for my 18th birthday. The effects were mostly garbage, and there was no pickup selector, so both pups were always on. Paired it with a Peavey Backstage Plus and an Arion Metal Master pedal. That was pretty much my starter rig for...
When I bought directly from Ceriatone/Malaysia in 2020/2021, there was no sales tax or duties. I got a 2203 (including head shell, tubes, transformers, etc). $178 shipping direct to my house in the midwest. If you order directly from Nik, it should just be the item plus shipping. When I first...
I had a 1994 40th Anniversary American Strat that I bought new, and it was nearly all I played until I sold it 15 years ago. I eventually regretted that, by which point I'd long since lost track of who I'd sold it to. Right now there's an identical one for sale, excellent condition, case, case...
I like the Boss GE-7 for my "clean boost". I usually goose the mids a little, and bump up the output of course. It's not transparent, but I like the color it adds. There are a couple of components you can swap out to reduce noise without affecting the color too much.
Yeah, I liked this better than his first one. Mick rules.
I can't help but feel like Motley lost a lot of the attitude that made them Motley Crue when Mick left. Mick's got the vibe in this tune.
Yeah, the gate seems more like single-ended noise reduction than an actual gate. Turn it up and it takes out some of the hiss. Not terribly useful to me.
I also wish the JSX had MIDI, but that's a small gripe.
I love my JSX. I think it's better than the JVM410HJS I had. I wasn't looking for a Satch sound so much as a flavor of British tones with the option for a bit more gain and better tone shaping.
One caveat is the JSX bias test points. I wrestled with mine for days until I found out it was a...
Yep. In your shop policies, you can set terms for your returns, as well as restocking fees. Under the General Terms and Special Conditions, you can add whatever "fine print" you need to protect yourself. For example, I require any issues to be reported within 72 hours, and any damage in shipping...
Damn, that sucks. I ran into that too with a 4x12 I got from them. When I called them, the only option was to return it. They'd rather eat shipping both directions on a 4x12 than give a post-sale discount on the cab based on the actual condition. I get it though. If they did the latter, then...
I take pics and do a video playthrough right before I pack the item, plus while I'm packing it. Once it's in the buyer's hands, your position is only as strong as what you can prove. As a buyer, I've won not-as-described disputes because the best the seller could argue was their 6-month-old...
Those drums sound sequenced. I wonder how much of this is truly a band effort, versus primarily Axl trying to orchestrate everything? I'd love to see them do the straight-ahead rock thing that seemed to be their strength.
