I'm going to torment the PRS account on X with this axe until I gain total compliance and Paul agrees to build me a wide-thin neck ES335. No, not joking. I've already leaned on Sweetwater and Andertons to put the pressure on.
A PRS will definitely be next on the list for a jam and couch guitar if I can't hang onto my Edwards LP. I was blown away by how nice that SE Custom 24 was. I actually love the wide-thin neck as much as any neck I've ever tried but for gigs I'm stuck in ES-ville eternally until PRS makes me a...
Thanks Sandman! Spent a couple nights tossing and turning thinking about how I could swing this. Well, gotta sell a couple guitars now, lol, but after trying a pile of guitars in the store (and my wife bringing home a PRS SE for me that I made her return, lol) I realized that for gigs I'll never...
I found this on their rack, pure unobtainium, or so I thought @$3499. Light, resonant, beautiful. She barks. So i axe the salesman about what he can do. He took it to the front and scanned it. Turns out it was on clearance for a lot less. I mean A LOT LESS. Like the cheapest price of any open...
It was a sweet axe and I want to be a lawyer someday but right now I'm just a bluesman with an interest in neo-soul so I had her return it.....
I def DIG the wide-thin neck, awesome feel. I'm going to get PRS to make a 335 with it one day...
I went to guitar kenter again tonight....
This has turned into a long story, starting with a few days ago when my wife brought home my law degree after going to guitar kenter again without my knowledge:
@Anonymouse you gotta name the winner by 7pm central. @Matt300ZXT @Fusionbear @Devin and @Dan Gleesak all had some nice submissions. Forgive me if I missed someone. Who will be crowned this week's winner? Stay tuned!!!
Working on a deal this evening. I might have to let my Edwards go to fund it. I went to GC and played LP's going up to 4k including a new standard and a new Supreme and none of them were any better than my Eddie....
Most of the used PRS' there right now are priced 3k and up. I played a bunch of them, really nice guitars but a couple of them had some tubby sounding pickups. I'll detail some more later. Any pro-tips on what PRS pickups are the good ones? The 85/15 "s" pickups in an SE Custom 24 I tried seemed...
They mostly had a bunch of digital modeling junk and I didn't wanna look like some tan pants TGP refugee plugging into that stuff.
Same deal down here. Very dry.
I'd love to have one of their lap steels with the string benders but $$$.
