It took about 3 months, but I got I $2,900 for a JP-2C and $1800 for a Rev G dual. Both on Reverb. There's not as many people looking to buy, so things are sitting longer. Prices are still higher than Pre-Covid though, so it's a weird market.
Hard disagree on that one and Death. Everything Dillinger did after CI, except for the one right after Chris Pennie left, is better than Calculating Infinity. I say this as someone who still wears a Calculating Infinity hoodie. That album was off the wall crazy, but it's basically one long...
I don't skip any tracks on Master or AJFA. I prefer them to the first two albums for sure, but I love all 80s Metallica. I like the Black Album a lot as well, it's just not the same band.
I've never had a tech do any work without giving me a ballpark price first. If he said $75 and couldn't figure it out in an hour he should have called you.
I just had my Mark IV done. It was $300 for removing and replacing the brown death caps, replacing 3 pots, replacing 3 preamp tubes...

R2 on the IV is a great clean channel and pedal platform.
Much prefer the IV to the III. I've tried to like the 3 (Purple, Green, and Blue) IIIs I've owned/played, but they're too bright and too boomy at the same time. Presence pulled on the IV gets that style, but without the annoying...
I live right outside of Philly, and I'm always amazed at how far away Erie is from me.
I would be interested and I know a buddy of mine would, but it would just depend on work schedules.
I've had a Herbert Mk I and II and now have a VH4.
The best way I could describe it is similar to the difference in style between a Mark and a Recto. They both do heavy, but the VH4 is more musical like a Mark and the Herbert is more aggressive like a Recto.
I own/owned a lot of boosts, but my favorite has always been the MXR Badass OD. I believe that's an SD-1 with a 100hz knob to bring back in some lows, and an alternative mode that boosts the low mids.
