I usually would say:
$XX PayPal gift + shipping.
That price is the cash price and then I'll get a shipping quote based on your zip, the size of the box and my estimate of the weight.
They can sound a little different, but it's an amp by amp thing and not really time period based in my opinion. Also, it's not like they're going to sound drastically different. I've owned at least 5 Rev G's.
My buddy's took 2 years, but he flip flops a lot on stuff and was changing his specs. The only thing I've been unsure of is color, so everything else has been the same as when I placed my deposit. We'll see if that helps things.
I didn't really like it setup that way. I got it to sound very close to the Mark IV mode using the GEQ, but with a brighter top end. It took a decent amount of time to fine tune it though.
I don't know if the EQ has less range, but the sweep is definitely different. It felt like less range to me as well, but it could have just been a more gradual change?
It's clear to me the focus of the VII was user friendliness. Much less finicky to dial in outside of (ironically) the VII mode.
Love it. If you told me a single channel, clean amp would be on my never sell list I would have called you crazy. I use a big pedal board with it, but it sounds incredible on its own or with pedals.
I use a Mesa compact 2x12 with their V30's running parallel with a KSR 2x12 with Creamback H75s. Also just got a KSR 4x12 with a Creamback H75/M65 mix.
Rhodes Colossus. It was one of the first ever made. Sold it because of vet bills. Don't regret paying for the dog, but I should have just done a quick loan instead of selling off gear.
My Mark IV short head. I've replaced the Mark IV, but it cost me more and it was beat up. The one I sold was...
Yea Kyle is a good dude. KSR definitely doesn't get enough recognition, which is funny considering they build stuff for 8 or 9 other brands like you mentioned.
I don't have any recording gear for proper clips or I would post something because this thing is killer.
