I ordered a nickel set with a 53mm bridge. I should have them in about 2 weeks. http://www.sheptone.com/Products/Humbucker These will replace my Suhr Thornbuckers. Those just did not work for me at all. The output was too low, they were bland sounding and the coil tap split tone was useless.

Stick with your gut! The SS is my favorite too. Someone has had one to sell here for a while. Check the classifieds.

Samson RESOLV A6 Active Studio Reference Monitors are surprisingly good. Tighter lows and clearer mids than the 8". Next step up are the Yamaha HS8s.

I'm letting the Empress ParaEQ with boost go too. It's on Ebay for $199 shipped. I'm giving up on boosts for a bit while I pick up a Suhr Reactive Load for my recording rig.
