What volume pedal for in loop use?

Would that suggestion apply to the VH4 and Schmidt also? If so, it's a relief because I was worried I would be left with a peice of useless gear once I de-EMG all my guitars

I want to buy Diezel products

I wish I could give a suggestion, but I'm in the same boat as you mate. It's nice to know of another shamray owner though, I had one made in 2005/2006, CS-0071. (not to hijack) What did you have made?

    Your Diezel Vid

Ok guys, here goes! I took this video a couple days ago to see how the Iphone4 records ridiculously loud guitar playing - so this is my VH4 with the master volume at 8. 8 out of 10 that is, not o'clock   . Ch2 and 3 fart out the camera a bit due to the boosted mids I had at the...

Herbert and Preamp Tubes : New Questions!!!

I can't agree more with Mark2C on how horrible Sovtek 12ax7's are - my GOD, I'm just astounded that such a horrible sounding tube can be on the market. Noisy, thin and unpleasing in the high end as per my experience. Perhaps the 3 individual tubes I had experienced at different times were all...

How are you finding the cab, TheWordsINeverSaid? Able to make any tonal descriptions yet? :)

VH4 owners...what type of tubes are you running?

My vh4 came with winged c el34s and a mixture of ruby hg+'s, ruby hg's and tad preamp tubes. I'm not fond of the winged c 34's in any guitar amp I've played so when I blew one I opted to put in in e34l's in the power section to try and maybe open the amp up, warm it up and maybe add some grit...

The Diezel Schmidt is an absolute work of art.

I would very happily play the Schmidt as my main live amp, better yet if I had two! The clean and crunch channel's easily have more than one usable live tone in them. Infact, my main complaint about the scmidt is that I don't have two of them! My guitarist originally wished it had a presence...

    Front loaded or rear

Thanks for the replies dudes. I would have gone ahead and chosen the v30 RL cab had I not been kinda unimpressed with how both my VH4 and Schmidt sounded through my Marshall 1960BV. Bass wasn't controlled, mids were kinda scooped a bit and there was a slightly weird high treble spike. Are the...

    Front loaded or rear

Thatd be excellent gutmann! I adore my Schmidt through my 1960a, its just so nicely balanced, tonewise. I can leave almost every knob on the amp at noon (including volume and gain) and it will simply drop the jaws of any one I play it for. So naturally I'm super curious to hear it through...

    Front loaded or rear

I was turned off using different speakers in the same cab or even different cabs through the one head when I got my 1960BV (v30) to keep my 1960A (t75) company. I have only tried playing through them both with my Marshall TSL so might give the diezels a run through them. However I've found I...

Congrats! Good choice! There are a couple interesting settings in that picture though :p

    Suggestions for bigger sound?

Ok, firstly - you don't need another amp. As mentioned before - pickups & speakers! What pickups do you use? What speakers does your 2x12 have? You could consider getting another 2x12 and seperating the cabs?

    VH4S CH1 & 4 - BKP Warpig Ceramic

Nice! Interesting too seeming as I have a BKP c-warpig in my closet awaiting a guitar for installation. I really liked the clean tones you were getting - it's great to know such a high output pickup can still produce some interesting/nice cleans. They remind me of the clean tones on a couple...

Kinda URGENT: Some quick VH4 bias help please???

Well I gave the VH4 a solid blasting last night for about an hour or so and it seems to be perfectly fine. Sounded HUGE. Bias complete! Though I got a small spark of my output transformer when changing the crocos over and it seems to have blown out my DMM   , can't recheck the bias...

Kinda URGENT: Some quick VH4 bias help please???

So I'd be using the black clamp as the tester switching between the sides of the output transformer and using the red tester as the ground? Might make it a little clearer to bias in that fashion.

Kinda URGENT: Some quick VH4 bias help please???

Hi there, So I've just tried reading the voltage DC (200m setting Mark2C described) and got a value of... 1? I recorded this video to illustrate what happens when I'm measuring in 200m Volts DC. Doesn't change if I turn the bias trim pot...

Kinda URGENT: Some quick VH4 bias help please???

thanks alot, i will try that out tomorrow. Would the .032v type reading in that mode be equivalent to 32mA? Argh i wish i knew why the readings are negative. I'm not even sure if i can use the negative reading the same as a positive reading? Ergh, i just want my vh4 back online! It's been...
