I like Redbacks quite a bit, and will likely keep one cab with the V30/RB combo just for that variety, but my other 2 cabs are moving over to Karnivores.

They do blend really well.

If you combine RBs and V30s, you kinda get closer to the Karnivore. So I'd say the Karnivore is more aggressive and tighter than the Redbacks. Redbacks low end is slightly bloomy and even smoother than the Karnivore.

It was set the same. I actually used 2 SM57s and recorded both at the same time.

That extended low end gets me going! I used Eminence Legends for years, until I got my first Mesa cab about 3 years ago or so. The V30s were doing what I wanted better, but I wasn't really a fan of using them. Glad to have these, for sure.

I agree. Sounded that way in the room, too. I basically swapped the V30s out completely after listening back to these.

Idk this isn’t something I ever really look at. Usually when I’m micing a speaker, I’ll just find where it sounds good. So I never really paid a lot of attention to how they would sound different. I’m usually shooting for the same kinda sound so the mic placement between speakers would typically...

Played it at practice today and it sounded amazing. Not super different from my other guitar players stock Mesa OS cab, but different enough.

Yeah they had an initial preorder but they also have a wait list for the next batch.
