I have a Fryette D412 cab that I have slightly modified. First I cut a 2x4 to make a brace between the front and back panels, securing with wood screws. This increased the tightness considerably. It also has a V30/K100 mix. Best cab I have ever played through.
I would definitely describe it as an OD not a distortion pedal. However mine does have a bit more gain than my Maxon OD808 and also more level output. I find it can be pretty close to replicating my OD808 with the Low and Body switch up and the High switch down. Activating the Body and/or Low...
G-Flex 212. Last I knew could be had cheap and mine has sounded great with every amp thrown at it. Was killer with V30-K100 mix.
On a side note, my G-Flex with Eminence EM12 speakers (pretty flat speaker eq) was best tone I had with my Kemper powerhead
I got the Ghoul. It has actually , at least temporarily, knocked my Maxon OD808 off my board. Of course, I've said this before and the Maxon always reclaims it's spot. So, we'll see.
Both good condition and work as new.
Decimator $75 shipped
Metal Master $45 shipped
Both for $90 shipped
Also could possibly trade for pickups or other pedals. I like pickups like Dimarzio Super Distortion, Suhr SSH+ and Aldrich.
Thank you for the clip. How would you compare the Pinball to the Standout when it comes to tightening up the low end with a high gain amp. I have a Standout so I know how outstanding it is for this. Have just always wondered how they compare. Thanks.
Baking soda does work good. Another option is remove nut and put shim made from a playing card under nut. Two micro drops of glue to hold shim down and a couple more drops to hold nut to shim. Of course this raises all six strings so may need to fine tune slot depths but you need to file anyway...
Kenosha is just south of Milwaukee and has Music Center Inc. and Music Go Round. I have not lived there in 20 years so not sure how nice they are but may be of interest to your friend.
