Not sure if you checked it out already, but Leon Todd has a pretty cool video on the Flight Time. You can even get some cool chorus sounds as shown around 9:`14
Oh wow. Good to know. Thanks for the heads up! Hmmm... might be able to pick up a Snapper at a good deal, but now I'm a bit hesitant without trying the neck. I have some tendonitis issues and always found the 42mm nut and 12 inch radius fretboard at least on the current Eclipses and Horizons...
Hey thanks for going over the differences! I didn't realize they had a bit different construction. I feel like this is an unpopular opinion since satin necks seem to be all the rage these days, but I actually like the feel of the ESP painted necks. I'm kinda vain in that I really want that "ESP"...
Hi! I really like the 12 inch radius Thin U profile on my ESP Eclipse and which ESP seems to use on most of their guitars. I was curious about the ESP Snapper as I've always enjoyed strats. I noticed they actually use a compound radius on the Snapper. They list it as a "Slim U" with a "Compound...
Kind of a dumb question, but may I ask roughly what the difference between these two are? I've always just used JJs from Eurotubes and Nesstone tubes, but would like to try these Shuguang tubes as I've heard a lot of good things over the years.
You were an ESP Artist!? Sick! I love the body shape of the Phoenix.
And dude, you read my mind! That Vintage White (w/the Duncan Custom and P-90 Phat Cat) one is awesome looking. I just wish they offered an MIJ version.
I've noticed sometimes these MIJ ones from the early 2010s appears on...
Woah... I never see ESP branded Phoenix guitars. Awesome! I wish ESP would offer the Phoenix as an option again. I think they only have a LTD version at the moment. Every now and then on reverb an old ESP standard series Phoenix will appear, but they are frequently in rough shape.
I think that's actually why we've seen Fender offer pine as a lightweight alternative option to the alder bodied American Professional Series II Strats.
Weight of most alder bodied strats by comparison:
I'm curious about pine as I love the idea of a guitar that is 7lbs or lighter. I'm...
Agreed! He is so freakin' good. Amazing sense of feel. That said, I am really interested in hearing what people think of the amp when it comes out and how it compares to the Suhr SL67 and Metropoulos Metro-Plex.
I've been curious about this one as well. There doesn't seem to be a ton of info/reviews online.
I kinda wish Fractal would release a dedicated gate pedal haha. I have the FM3 and I agree... the gate works really well. It's the only gate that doesn't seem to need any adjustment when I move from...
Yeah, damn... that Koko Boost V1 will definitely be my next purchase (y)
Yeah, the Maxon OD808 and Boss SD-1 have literally always been what I've used. I've never tried a Klon for example. Tempted to try a Chiron.
Sounds great and good luck with the healing!
By the way, I just realized you're the same one that did a really sick demo of the Friedman BE-OD several years back (y)
I was watching John Browne's video on the Yamaha Revstar Professional RSP20 and it was cool to see it in a more metal context.
I noticed it's listed as having "Jumbo Stainless Steel" frets. Does anyone know if they're similar in size/dimensions to the kind you'll find on an ESP Eclipse or...
Nice demo! I'm curious, you've had a chance to play a number of Bogners and I was wondering if the Goldfinger Superlead still compares favorably to them. I remember you having a lot of high praise for (and inspiring clips of!) the Goldfinger Superlead and as a result it's always been on the...
Gah! I can't believe I didn't jump on this. I saw the deal after getting home from work just now and decided to make dinner first. Poor decision. Someone grabbed it. Don't know when I'll see another brand new ESP Original for under $3k :(
