Finally realized that the OD808 seems to lower the bass a bit (but I already knew about some mid boosting it's doing). Anybody have a link to the GEQ graph that represents essentially what this pedal does? Totally brings an amp to life for hardrock/metal.
what size venues are you referring to in general for that comment? that's how loud (or louder!) I used to crank a TSL100 + 412 and it was stupid loud with EMGs in the back of a tattoo shop...

the band i used to play in mic'd the vocals and drums to raise the levels on bass and guitars and compete volume-wise. so is this how these guys rehearse or just quietly? I can't imagine hard rock and metal acts rehears quietly, seems too dork.
other advantages of using AXF with matrix is no more tube shit to deal with and much lighter on your back...
the fractal audio forum guys seem to love AXF + matrix combo so not sure what the deal is...
