Hell yeah man, awesome work so far on the build
I was thinking of planning a similar build if I get a chance during the summer and working on it here and there.
Hell yeah, welcome to the forum!
Saw your posts on the boogie FB page, great vids!
As far as the trannies go I do believe they are Mark Coliseum trannies (most likely both PT and OT), the 2 ch triples weren't talked about as much as the rev c, d, e, or f dual rectos.
I think the...
The cap isn't in any of the later amps (3 ch, reborn, roadster ect) but can be added in, should bring you extra brightness and chime.
You would find the D power rail. V2 pins 1 and 6 each connect to 100k resistors, and on the other side of those resistors is the D power rail. Somewhere on this...

EQ on the amp is everything at noon except volume which is at bedroom levels and gain which is at 10:00
Yes, you can also jump the 100 ohm resistors on the cathodes for additional growl and tightness and change the presence pot values to your liking (I use 250k for the Modern channel which is used in a Rev C Recto)
I just played over some drum jams yesterday, anyone want sound samples of my amp?
^ Yep, there is info on how to do this to a 3 channel/roadster/road king since they share the same preamp layout, just would have to locate the parts on the PCB to swap out.
It should be easier to obtain these pre 500 tones on the newer amps than on the older 2 channel amps, but the later amps...
If you want the same core tone but with more tightness, aggression and better mids than boosting alone, you can preform the "pre 500 mod" to it.
I swear by this ever since I did this to my 2 channel Triple, I'd call it a reversion to old specs more than a mod though.
jd267, I'd say register and post this on the sloclone forum, lots of 5150 mod topics posted there.
Try the Peavey forum as well, I came across a few threads there in the past on mod subjects.
I have an older hamer that does this with all pots but haven't gotten around to fixing them yet.
I'm pretty sure this happened by leaving it at the practice spot and guess it got thrown around a lot without being put back in it's case.
Damn other guitarist :jerkit:
+1 on the TAD 6L6GC-STR (standard size 6L6)
They sound like they were made for a Recto, I played my friends 2 channel dual with these installed and I plan on buying these for my next retube!
Gonna be a little pricey lol, got a 2 channel Triple... :scared:
