My Revv G8 in 4CM tames both my Diezel VH4 and my Engl Invader 2 without sucking tone. It's excellent. Make sure you follow their 4CM signal flow chart. It's a bit different, but works.

I figured out that the feedback issue with my Invader 2's Channel 4 was actually due to my Line 6 Helix, so got rid of the Helix, got a HX Stomp XL, and everything works perfectly at live volume (95+db) Engl's midi works flawlessly too!

I tried to like the 6L6s in my VH4 and my VHX, but they weren't for me. Now I'm interested in Gold Lion KT77s. Did you change the Preamp tubes to Gold Lion as well?

Check out Eurotubes.com, they have replacement JJECC83s Preamp tubes for the VH4. You can buy one tube, or a whole replacement set.

If you were looking for a 2x12, I'd say 440 Live Cabs from Greg's Pro Audio on Reverb. I had him make me a custom 2x12 with G12K100 speakers, and this thing is built like a tank, and sounds amazing! Gonna have him make another with a V30 and a G12K100!

I own 2 Engl's and I think you should get the Revv. But I really think you should get a Diezel VHX, best amp ever!

I like blending my VH4 with my Engl Invader 2, thru a Marshall 1960A 4x12 in stereo. I EQ the Engl for the Low end, and the VH4 for the Highs. Sounds massive! I think a VH4 with a Herbert Mk3 would be massive too. I'd like to pair my VH4 with a Revv Gen 120 Mk3.
