in my 2016 be 100 i got tung sols in v1 and v2. ruby in v3 and sovtek lps in v4. i think friedmans are using tungs and rubys in their line up now.

anybody have a list that shows which caps are synergy caps. i want to replace the mallorys with the new snyergy caps and want to make sure i get the correct values and locations. also what is the 4 ohm tap nfb mod and how can a guy tell if my 2016 has this mod. thanks

old post but my 2016 has a switchable boost on the back. its just a vol boost for the be hbe channels. no gain increase just vol. it is located where the line out jack and pot were./ works just like the boogies.

does v3 and v4 need to be chinese tubes??

dave what do you recommend for a 2016 be 100 head. got tads for the power tubes and ars for pre. will a sovtek lps work for the pi? any body try eh?

anybody know what watt the resistors are on the mv pot and the line out pot. i know the ohmage , but not the wattage. they seem like they are fairly big. thanks

i am kind of curious about the solo boost function. like i stated it is where the line out jack and pot were and i am wandering how easy would it be to return it to the line out function. the mod was done by dave himself and kind of think the components are the same just a different connection

thanks for the info. thats the way i am running it. switches at the back off, voice to the left and the S switch far right. control most of the drive with the guitar vol. the emgs i am running are the new x series.

did not realize the toggles were same on the marshall. my other amps were the other way around. what pos do you put your S switch at? do you use any of the voice switches. i run active emgs and find i keep my voice switches down or off. thanks

would reducing r29 and r63 be the same as using a 5751 in v5 and a 5751 in v6? thanks

thanks guys. running my gain on ch3 at 9 oclock. gain on ch 2 around 1100 oclock/ noonish. i am using active emg pups. probably adds a bit to the gain also. i may try a lower tube too. where would a guy put a cap for the bl ch? would a 1000pf be ok. i think that may be a good thing...
