Love Akira! Still play “We could be together“, “Heavy Chains”, “Let it go” etc., on guitar all of the time. I saw them on this tour when they opened for Motley Crue. Akira had Marshalls on stage at the time but I wasn’t close enough to make out anything else being used. I’m pretty sure his...
This is what I was trying to convey. Mista did a better job of it. Nothing at all against Michael. seems like a cool guy and has a good sense of humor. Obviously, he is a very talented producer. Just not a big fan of his guitar playing.
Michael Nielsen is one I don’t get from a guitarist standpoint but he really is a producer by trade. Funny dude though.
On the opposite end, Clifton Wright is incredible and Leon Todd is solid as well.
I run a wdw system and I power two Recto 1x12 cubes with an ART SLA2. It’s a single space, current production power amp. It puts out 200 watts at 8 ohms per side in stereo and is built very well. Highly recommend it!
Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I’ve had no issues keeping up with a loud drummer who hits hard with my Mark V 25 watt and two Thiele 1x12. I haven’t tried the Rectoverb 25 in that setting but I really can’t see how that would be an issue. Mesa did it right with their small amps.
Agree, it’s a great little head. Hit the front end with a Maxon OD808 and you’ll love it even more as it tightens up the low end. I own it along with the Mark V 25 watt. Love them both and blended they sound awesome. I run my Rectoverb 25 through a Mesa 1x12 3/4 back cab (sometimes through two)...
Just happy I saw the original line up several times. I appreciate the sentiment behind this but it doesn’t sound remotely the same and I sure as fuck wouldn’t pay to see it.
The secret to the 25 watters is definitely to run them through the right cab. I have both the Mark V 25 and the Rectoverb 25. I run them both through 3/4 back 1x12‘s with C90’s and they sound huge!
