Wizard Modern Classic EL34 Tube Rolling

Agree on speakers but I know those I have fairly well. The response of the amp is effected by the tubes so this is generally big for me.

Wizard Modern Classic EL34 Tube Rolling

Tried New Mullard, Ruby BHT, JJ EL34LS, JJ, Svetlanna, Sovtek EL34g and the differences were in how the mids presented. I could see liking the EL34LS as they were clear yet had weight. Mine are the blue bottle version. I like the BHT in general and they sounded great in the amp. Very musical...

Wizard Modern Classic EL34 Tube Rolling

First thing to note. My Sovtek LPS went haywire in the phase inverter. I just pulled it from the Ecstasy working perfect. Tube was lighting blue with the top and bottom looking like lightning flashing. Was audible aslo. First test for EL34s is Sovtek EL34g. Pretty nice. As mentioned before...

Wizard Modern Classic EL34 Tube Rolling

I have always been happy with the JJ EL34s in the Wizard. I rolled many of the EL34s I have in other amps lately so it's seems right to do it in the Wizard also. Anyone have experience with this? Will report soon.

Bogner Ecstacy 101B Differences Between New and Old Models?

Definitely sounds like the one I have but maybe a little less gain?

How close are you with your Sweetwater rep?

Years ago I bought from Sweetwater. Now they will not offer discounts. Or maybe I don't know the right person to ask?

Is The Mesa Reissue Hype Over?

My G Triple is tight. Yes, my dual is not but it is still that 90s Recto sound. For me, Rectos are tighter when the tubes are hotter.

Bogner Ecstacy 101B Differences Between New and Old Models?

I have a BE100 also and had to mod it quite a bit to get where I like it. The Ecstacy is more versatile for sure. I feel my JEL100 is closer to the Ecstacy than the BE100.

Bogner Ecstacy 101B Differences Between New and Old Models?

I have read there are potentially different transformers used also. I haven't heard the wild stories of differences in Ecstacy models like I hear with the Uberschall. Maybe a good marker for a decision. :) It is one of those amp that has so many options it is easy to make is sound bad for any...

Bogner Ecstacy 101B Differences Between New and Old Models?

Surely someone has experience with the newer 101b?

Bogner Ecstacy 101B Differences Between New and Old Models?

I have thought about selling this amp a few times. This is from around 2000. Once this thing is setup right it is amazing. A quick clip of the Red channel boosted with a KOT. Maybe too much gain but hey... Anyone have experience with the new production models?

Reza being jealous I got a Larry

I had a vocalist who I swear thought he was some sort of bird. Maybe it has not yet been discovered? I feel a new character for the video game.

    Music Go Round

Really depends on the owner. The local store that closed years ago had poor ownership.

What’s everybody’s favorite death metal band?

Ingested and Job for a Cowboy are fun. The Red Chord has some cool stuff. Of course Carinfex, Obituary, Death and all the classics.

Sold Bad Cat Lynx. Price BUMP. $1250

If I didn't have one I'd buy it. Great price for a great amp.
