Not to be a negative Nancy, but as the climate of the economy has been a rapidly changing dynamic over the last week, I think you're going to see more and more items added to the classifieds. Not due to gear flipping but out of necessity to do what needs to be done to stay afloat.
Good review. I'm a big fan of the Katana. I have the 100 head. Mainly I bought it for the features and value. Took me a bit to dial it in using the software, but once i did, it's been pretty much set and forget. I'm just at an at home hack but this little amp has been pretty gratifying for me.
As I stated YMMV, your mileage may vary. I explained why I dont use it. I'm sorry if you dont find that acceptable. I likely could have phrased my initial post a bit less coarse as to not create negativity. I do see the similarities and parallels of FB to a forum such as this. However, I choose...
Not to try to make it a negative post. Personally I pulled the plug on my FB account about a years ago. After seeing how shady Zuckerberg is and the privacy concerns, how it divided relationships between people with differing views, I chose to not use it. I do still stand behind it as a...
Theres definitely some good sounds to be found in it. The head thru a food cab makes it sound waaayy better. Also the sneaky amp models have some great tones in there. Also agree with dialing back the gain and using the screamer effects. The combo versions I've tried weren't not all that awe...
No dings or scratches. Only thing is the gold hardware on the bridge is showing some slight wear from my hand resting on it. Its the tone pros bridge and tailpiece.
I'm sure they've made far more money than they could have ever fathomed. If people still think they are sell outs, look at that train wreck they did with Lou Reed. That sold what, 4 copies??? At this point, if fans are still showing up to shows and buying their music, why stop? Metallica has...
Despite the initial sound shortcomings, yeah they always bring it. Kirk was having a very off night, the famous Paul Green LP was not working for the intro solo on Welcome Hime, had everybody in the bad all fucked up waiting for the solo to start, was kind of funny. But it also showed theres no...
I had the same experience. Saw them last summer in Denver at Mile High Stadium. Best live sound I'd heard from them in all the shows I've seen. Saw them last month in ND and Hardwired as usual was the opener. As soon as they hit those first few notes, it was a muddy disaster. Hard to hear James...
Anything by 5 finger death punch gives me ear cancer. Just my opinion but those guys are about the heavy metal equivalent of Nickelback. The main demographic they appeal to seems to be the knuckle dragging Tap Out wearing middle age fat guys that think for some reason they're MMA fighters. God...
Everybody bags on Metallica but how many other bands from that era are still relevant as they are today keeping old fans and making new ones? A lot of the band's I grew up listening to are long gone now, been listening to Metallica for 30 plus years now. To me, the music isn't always stellar...
I run my k100 head thru an avatar 2x12 with V30s in it this thing sounds bad ass. I just tried the 100watt combo in the shop today and wasn't as blown away by it I think just because of the sound of an open back cab. It still has some killer sounds to it. But the ability to run the head thru a...
