    Nirvana - 1988 - Radio Shack

Guess that would be considered the "woodshedding"...right??

Blews is for Rock guys that can't hack it anymore ...

Blues will always be a foundation of modern rock and metal guitar...I am a huge fan of the shred genre..started with EVH/Lynch/Rhoads/Malmsteen...etc..etc...Every one of those guys "quoted" if you will maaaaaaaany ancient blues licks in their playing .Nothing wrong with blues in my book...Pretty...

    ?? Speaker Combinations ??

My main 4x12 cab I use now has the Texas Heat/Manowar combo..go out from my FM9 into a Marshall 9005..I like the Eminence speakers as they seem to have a smoother top end that allows for less ice pick...but you can still up the highs and get the definition you want. They are also 150 and 120...

What do you pair your Duncan Custom with?

I've got the Sentient in a couple guitars and do like it...has enough but not too much. I've also go the Blues Sarcaeno Trembucker in the neck on my Solar...excellent once you find the sweet spot on height.

Dokken kiss of death live philly in 1987

Ah..the good ol days... My notes: Man that is a thin and bright sound! Don could still sing Pilson and Brown were a super solid rhythm section for the band.

    Anyone use WCR pickups?

Count me as a BKP guy..was hooked from the first one I tried. It's probably more for me about the feel and response of their pickups...don't know if it's the scatter winding thing but BKPs have so much more definition and pick/volume knob response nuances than the usual suspects. I can't say...

Anything like a Duncan '59 in the neck, just hotter?

The Sentient is a pretty cool neck pickup...I've also used the Blues Saraceno PA bridge in the neck too..pretty cool. I've also seen the Screamin Demon suggested as a neck pickup.

Yngwie shreds on his new MXR sig OD pedal

A n all time master blaster, but that pedal seems to take the edge off his sound..doesn't have the same attack I'm used to for him.

Ibanez Tom Quayle TQM2 Signature Electric Guitar

Tom could make any guitar sound good. But $3k sounds excessive for a couple pieces of wood with a little metal stain paint and pickups.

I need to replace my old 12"X24" pedal board what are some good ones these days?

I've got the 24 and it fits an AX8 and one pedal...wish I would have gotten the 34, but the stages and bars I have access to are not space friendly. One thing..I could not get the Ax8 or the FM9 to line up with all four feet..had to be slightly canted to mount/line up with the holes.

Here's what the EVHIII EL34 sounds like on the red channel with the gain barely turned up......

Good player/playing, but the sound was actually ear fatiguing for me....after a couple minutes it was grating on my ears.

Brother Hosford preachin' the Ed gospel...and singer is really good too.

The perfect cover band vocalist! Great job.

    People are fucking pissed...

Hey..can't blame a guy for wanting a new axe..kinda like wanting a new girlfriend..right?? At least with a new endorsement you don't lose half your shit! That said..I don't really have brand loyalty....unless you count the 4 Warmoth builds I have...I'd endorse them.....just because I got...

    Usually hate eminence, but…

I used T75s and V30s for a long time..Then tried Emis...Texas Heat..Manowars..and V12 Legends. I like their stuff because of the high end being more controlled...it allows use of the full range of your treble/presence knobs and not singe eyebrows with the high end. Pretty sure the Legends for...

    Back then bands were bands....

Music of today is great...music of many years ago is great. As I've gotten grayer, I'm not so much concerned with the technical aspect of it....but growing up in the shred era, I can of course appreciate that. It really comes down to..does it entertain my brain? I can listen to Indian...
