If its technical acomplishment i'd say the current guy, Chris Broderick. From what I have seen, it looks like he can play circles around the rest of them.
Im not sure if I could pick out one out style wise. Both Poland and Friedman both fitted perfectly with what Mustaine was doing at the...
Thanks for the tip, just tried this and it sounds pretty much dead on. Just need to work on the right hand chops, for some reason my wrist is locking up trying to do this
Good to see some love for Pat Thrall here!
First up, props to Pat Thrall. What an all time legend!
Next up, im trying to mimic that cool staccato delay thing he has been doing for years. Im utterly useless with delays, so can someone give me some pointers please? Ill be using my PodXT for delay, if that helps.

I bought one of those Sansamp Preamps from him a while back. Wish I still had it  Nice guy, offered me my moneyback if I didnt like it.
At one time he was being touted as the british Vai in the magazines, he's certainly got the chops. He seems stuck in the rut of columnists in our guitar...

You have my sympathy, Ive just started a new job after a bunch of time off. I know how frustrating it all is!
Ive been to loads of great ones over the years, I cant pick out any specifics. However, here are the 2 worst:
MSG: Michael was drunk off his ass and couldnt play a note.
G3: I went to the first UK G3 gig and it was dull as dishwater. Having seats probably didnt help though.
