Thanks for the words guys. Ill have a look for the SE-50, to be honest id never heard of one. I know that the Quadraverbs are cheap and easily available...
jabps - would you say the units are unreliable in that case? Im going to be buying used...
Anyone use one? Are they any good for a "rock" gig?
I was thinking of getting a couple of delay pedals for my rig, one for a short delay, the other for a long delay. However, I noticed used Quadraverbs go for less than a new delay pedal, and have a few extra options...
Would be used in the...
The only Tesla disk I have is "Bust a nut," picked it up from a bargain bin a while back. For some reason I just cant get into it, every other Tesla track i have listened to ive have dug....
Maybe i just need to give it more time? Or is it a bit of a runt disc?
I think they are superb guitars, but definitely an acquired taste. Every parker I have tried has played like butter and sounded great plugged in. I dig the styling too. If i had the £££ I would have a couple by now!
Ive always been a big fan of Mattias, but only today have I truely appreciated what he can do. This guy is criminally underrated. He manages to blend melody and technique perfectly. Ill get to see them for the third time in the summer, im really pumped!
Today Ive been learning songs for a...
I dont know if they still make them, but i have a MusicYo kramer (baretta FX404 i think). 24 frets, neck-thru, maple board, string-thru. It was ridiculously cheap, in is an awesome guitar for the $$$.

I agree with you on the medium output for pickups. All of my guitars have HB with outputs of less than 10K. However, I do really like the EMG 85, its noiseless, very clear and reliable. I plan to get a guitar just so I can have that on hand, pref an 85/SA/SA combo..
Cool guys, thanks for the feedback! I know all about ibanez stock pups, was thinking about getting some EMG's for it if I go ahead. Just concerned the trem might be a white elephant!
I am eyeing up a new Ibanez S series, but heard anything about the ZR trems. The stuff on their website seems good, wondering if anyone has some "real world" opinions?! Is it the same ZR trem across all the S series guitars?
Ill go check them out after the easter break, if I can find one...

On that DVD, and indeed live, Doug seems to take the approach "Play Sykes/Marsden/Moody solo; cram in an extra fast pentatonic bit; rinse, repeat." Nothing wrong with that, I wonder if he has been told to do that?
Beach is playing how he wants to play, in his own style, throwing in...

Headed for a storm is also superb! Couldnt find any YouTube stuff of Vandenberg stuff beyond Burning Heart and Friday Night though. Back in the Vandenberg days, he was the king.
I think in the end though, Songwriting was never his strong point...

Hey man, thats cool. Each to their own! Whilst I am a fan of the 1987 album, and Sykes' skill in general, there is something about his playing that seems "repetetive" to me. Doug falls under this category, but probably becuase he is outlining the Sykes solos when he is playing live. I...
This guy was seriously one of the best 'snakes Coverdale ever had. Its a shame he never really got a chance to shine on record. Its might just be my english love of the underdog, but I have always prefered the Whitesnake "B" guitarists (Vandenberg w/whoever, Beach) to their "A" bandmates. Show...
