How does The TONEX Brown Sound 78/79 Collection sound in the mix???

I don’t have to log on to the program manager. Only time I open that is to check for updates. Had a hard time getting mine to open in Logic, but that has been resolved. Actually recorded with it using a capture of my 68 SuperTremolo. Sorry you are still having issues.

    I Crashed Pretty Hard

Yikes, hope you have a quick recovery. I gave up the mountain bike thing before I got hurt. It’s alot of fun though.

    Power Station question

For me, I can practice scales, picking exercises non stop for a couple hours at a time. With a loadbox and speaker volume low it is easy for me to forget the amp itself is still cranked. I would never play / practice like that, amp cranked for two plus hours straight into a cabinet. The...

    Power Station question

If I had one sitting here I would try it, doubt anything happen. Ive done plenty of things over the decades that should have killed my amps and they were never hurt. Practicing thru a PS etc for two plus hours straight with the amp on 8 and no fan on it…yeah learned my lesson on that. 🔥🔥🔥 😄

    Boss DC-2W experiences?

Button 2 original mode in front of amp. New one sounds different than my originals, but it is still good.

    Power Station question

Yeah I remember reading thru that. I have to think alot of these issues are operator error for the most part. As beefy asxWizard thransformers are, hard to imagine one blowing. I only blew one OT with the Juice Extractor and it was 78 2203 that lost a power tube and took it out. Lost a few...

    Power Station question

My MC1 works with all my attenuators. Others may be different I suppose.

    Power Station question

Im sure that is cool and all, but I don’t have a need for any of that. Plus I get option paralysis with too much stuff 😄 When I gig it’s just my Wizard and an old RP1000. Using the PS2 with the old Marshalls, just a small pedalboard, some in front and some in the PS2 loop. I still use a...

    What Plugs Are You Using?

Yeah they are crazy expensive now. The ones I get are the VPower. Used to be $3.00 a plug. Now 5.81 each x8. Running nitrous tends to go thru them alittle more often. Rock Auto is cheapest I have found for them. Not by mich after shippimg though.

    Floyds, top mount vs recessed.

Top mount sucks…recessed is way more fun.

I always loved some Lillian Axe

Used to see them at the Alrosa in Columbus back in the 90’s. We opened for them at The Newport back then. If I remember correctly he had a Marshall sd1 and an ADA. They were always good, just came out a few years too late.

Vintage Marshall Super Lead identification help

Lucky for me I hate the VH sound so ‘68 isn’t a must have for me if that is the big part of his sound 😄 The ghosting drives me nuts. Pretty much every stock 100 watt Marshall does it. Even if someone claims they don’t as soon as I pick up a guitar and play thru it, there they are. 😄 This 78...

Vintage Marshall Super Lead identification help

I was just looking at the caps I took out of the Super Trem. Two axial 32/32 450 marked TCC and one RS 32/32 can. I know there is another somewhere. Tried to find some date codes, not sure what they might be. The Mallory 150uf I am thinking are non original, but have always been in it...

any of you guys like metal picks??

No I broke way too many strings with them. They were copper and also made my fingers turn green.

Vintage Marshall Super Lead identification help

I will have to do more sleuthing next time I have it open. The original caps are in a bag somewhere, should look at the date codes. The 150uf mains caps are 67, not sure month or week. One site I was looking at said 10,000 was 67 12,000 was 68. But could have been partially right or wrong...

Vintage Marshall Super Lead identification help

Interesting. Ive never had a 68, 70 or 71. Plenty of the others. My first was a 72 50 watt and my cab was a sound city 412 and then got a 68 slant cab. Neither were marked in any way and not knowing anything about ohms etc, had no idea about what the impedance selector did. I just tried...

Vintage Marshall Super Lead identification help

My 67 has the PI and preamp can caps. The rest are underneath on the board. Laydown PT. Always thought it was a 68…but it is a 10,000 serial number. 2 speaker jacks and polarity switch. My ‘69 plexi is March and the Metal is August. Look identical inside other than the plexi only has 2...
