Question(s) About Mike Morin Modded Marshalls

I always forget about the first one. It's funny because I listened to it about 6 months ago.

    Oasis is back!!!

I was a huge fan, and I have all of their CDs. I grew up listening to The Beatles because of my mom owning damn near every piece of vinyl they ever released back in the day.

    Oasis is back!!!

I would be right there alongside you, but I doubt they come near here. The only North American cities that have leaked so far are Toronto, Chicago, NYC (at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ), Boston (Gillette Stadium), LA (Rose Bowl - Pasadena) and Mexico City.

Found a Mike Morin Modified JCM 800 for sale

$3500? Maybe not. If it were 100 watts and the right mod, I, personally, would give him $4k for it easily. When the preamps pop up, which can be hit or miss, they go for around $2k.

Yep! Mike Mushok (sp?) has one. He started using Diezels live sometime after that.

Question(s) About Mike Morin Modded Marshalls

The first 2 Staind albums were recorded with a Morin Marshall. Those sound evil as hell.

    Wizard KT150 with 6550’s?

I don't own and never have played a Wizard. I'm sure they're great amps. I did have a matched Octet of GE 6550s that I ran in an Ultra-Lead. They're basically a higher headroom 6L6GC. They were very similar in tone to a =C= 6L6GC, but they sounded a bit bigger and felt harder. I haven't run...

Isn't the Sovtek 5881 only a 23 watt tube? It says it's 22.5 on its spec sheet. I would back down the bias a bit, see where the plate voltage goes and recalculate from there. You're at 85% at idle right now.

Tom Anderson H3... what is it like?

Yeah, I'm going to find out what it is. It's either that or get some nuts to fit the 3/48 screws. Stew Mac sells the nuts. I just haven't gotten around to doing it yet, as there has been WAY TOO MUCH going on over the last few months.

Tom Anderson H3... what is it like?

You wouldn't happen to know the height screw size by any chance would you? I emailed them a while back, but I got nothing. I guess I will just have to call Tom to get the answer. The regular 3/48 stuff is too small.

Tom Anderson H3... what is it like?

https://www.andersonguitarworks.com/pickups-22 The H humbuckers have ceramic magnets. The HN humbuckers have neodymium. The HC/HF humbuckers use alnico magnets. I use the H3+, H2+ and H1-. They're very thick sounding, but they aren't harsh. There is just a lot of depth. The H3+ feels a...

The only thing I heard in his video was if Dave King ever sells the rights to the amps, he would sell it back to Joe Naylor. Dave has always been great, but he is only a one man operation. Joe could get it going again real well. On the Superdrive and Superclubs... Yes, I like the low input...

***Ramble Button On*** One thing I do remember doing with one of the older ones was using an A/B/Y with it and a Mesa Mark IV. I was able to get the Mark IV very close to the Naylor. The closest thing to it that I've owned was the 101B. Also, the Naked I had was in the same vein, but the...

Yeah, it's dark and bright at the same time. It's weird, but it's a wonderful weird. I use mine for hard rock. I was looking at the clean channel settings on the CAA, and I can tell my kids were turning the dials.

Recording Interface for a MacBook Air

Just make sure you leave the amp plugged into your cabinet. If it's a parallel loop, no sound will come out of the cabinet. If it's a series loops, turn the mix to 100%, and you should be good to go. You won't need a load box. You can start by messing around with Garageband. I think it's...
