Pre2004 amp has plain 10K 4th stage cathode resistor. Cleaner, more transparent sound. In post2004 amp this resistor is bypassed by 0.22uF cap in series with 2.7K resistor. That combo gives a gain kick in upper mids and highs, but compresses the tone quite much. That mod affects Red Channel...

Check the diode in footswitch and eventually replace it. Common issue. Andy

AFAIK there's no rating for =C='s. Just go for a matched quad, set Your bias to 30-32mA and You'll be set :)
