Legendary tones are killing it.. I am in the market for a Lynch Mod if anyone has one to sell and is willing to ship to Canada? I will pick up one of these for sure as well. Edit: Legendary Tones had a few Lynch Mods in stock so I grabbed one, no longer needed.
I suspect the Caswell limited run...
I actually think Eclipse is him at his peak. He was apparently drunk for most of the recording of that album ( drinking wine daily) but he rips on it and the song writing is fantastic. So many 3 string arpeggio lead breaks, monstrous. But then Fire and Ice starts to dip down. Still had good...
I also hate those recessed floyds. Wish they would do more standard trem, ebony fretboard and painted headstocks. Also.. just give us an affordable blue/purple burst Jake E Lee.
I think I want an SG USA Gibson. The older I get, the more I realize that I want a Noah's Arc guitar collection. One ( or two! diff colors) of each type. You know.. the staples. V, LP,Strat,Charvel,Explorer, SG etc.
Apart from that one tune all the way to Memphis, the album does suck hard. Also, Tracii sounds like a child playing leads around Schenker. Schenker is a guitar god.. He has it all in my opinion.
With all due respect to Ace, Angus has always been on another level. You want to hear a guy who writes singable leads..that's the guy. Fantastic player. Iommi is my least favourite lead player. Total riff monster and incredible song writer but his leads were always anti climactic to me.
Not at all.. I think a lot of KISS's early stuff is pretty banging. Some great rock tunes there. Deuce, Cold Gin, Love Gun, Black Diamond etc.. Ace has some great solos on those. Has that sloppy right picking hand but dug in for those leads. I agree he played with fire most of the time.
Love that red with the black headstock and headstock. Good to see Gotoh drops in no problem because those are lookers and i have considered one a few times. They seem to be all over in price though. I see them at 1000$ + now. Steep
The other thing that pops out to me is that LA Guns music is not really consistent with what AFD became. So if Tracii did write a lot of the music, Izzy's influence probably slowed a lot of it down and made it groove more. As for the acne story, I can see it but I also question it considering LA...
Thing is, how do we know what Ace REALLY played on. Seems to me they were able to get session guys to sound like a "better" Ace and cut solos when he was too ripped or hungover to do so. I thought the Elder was one such album where they used studio guys to fill in gaps. Remember, KISS was always...
Pretty crazy if true.. but also interesting in the sense that they canned Tracii because he had acne. Here we are thinking rock n roll was rock n roll "unlike today" and turns out it has never been different and always been about image since before the Beatles. They don't just sell music, they...
Yes , the description has been lacking on their website for months. It is described the same way as the super D. Get on it Dinarzio. Looks cooler though..
So what I have uncovered in my box of wonders:
Dimarzio PAF classic bridge
Duncan Slash AlnicoII ( first generation)
Air Zone ( which used to be in this guitar actually, 10 years ago lol)
Tonenerd Sunset Strip
Pariah Patina (alnico 2)
Custom Custom ( this one sucks, too dark)
Paf Pro (...
Some may not like the timing on this but if Gene and Paul can milk it? You know they will... they will tour a bunch of holograms. Skinny buff versions of themselves.
I've never tried swapping magnets. I am interested in it but don't want to screw something up.. as far as i know, essentially a bit of heating solder to get it apart and then slide a new magnet in?
