They're killer amps. I used to do pedal demos for a retailer and that was the clean platform that I used. The dirty channel also sounds excellent. I sometimes kick myself for selling it. Enjoy that thing!

If you've never owned or played an earlier Mark series amp, the V is cool. If you have, you'll likely consider it a jack of all trades and a master of none. I couldn't sell mine fast enough, but to each their own.

A good compressor pedal is invaluable when blending humbuckers and singlecoils in my opinion. It'll let you choose your pickups based on how they sound, and you can balance them with the compressor. I have several HSS and HSH guitars and couldn't imagine not using a compressor at this point...

Master volume in the tone knob's usual position. If you look up top, both the Thornley and the Classic S have their volume knobs moved as well. The blue Modern Custom will eventually be wired for just a master volume as well. I grew up playing Les Pauls and Telecasters, so having a volume knob...

My Roughneck is my favorite of all of my Suhrs because of that neck. I've never bonded as quickly with any instrument as I did with that thing.

Bass? You mean the quitter's fiddle? All jokes aside, it's low because I'm playing bass. After I did all of the guitars, it became painfully obvious that I don't think like a bass player at all, so I just matched the drummer's kicks and hoped for the best.

My band played on a bill with them about ten years ago, and while it wasn't the original lineup, we were still blown away by how great they sounded live.

A cell phone recording doesn't really tell me anything. All amps tend to sound at least ok in cell phone videos as long as you're not clipping the mic because the low end sounds full and and any harsh or fizzy characteristics are generally filtered out by the room. I know what an SM57 sounds...
