Van Halen with a fractured wrist.

I fractured my wrist a few months back, and when you teach dozens of guitar lessons every week, it's pretty nerve-wracking. Just this week I'm noticing that while playing wider stretches is still uncomfortable, I'm not getting pangs of pain anymore. So at least that's a step in the right...

    New Yamaha Pacifica models

Even the entry level Pacificas are absolutely phenomenal for the money. These are likely killer.

    New From Suhr - SL68 & SL67 MK II

I don't really need the new SL68, but I'll likely get one. Super cool.

Do the old MOSFET Lead 100s really sound this good?

They're cool. I had one and regret selling it. They're not as dynamically responsive as a real 800, but they're a lot of fun for not a lot of dough.

"Amp feels good under the fingers"... WTF?

Mainly in terms of dynamics. How reactive it is to the velocity of your pick attack and how much compression there is. I've found that usually means how much negative feedback is in the amp's power section.

    WTB: CAA PT100

Not mine, but I was browsing amps and remembered this WTB post when I saw it.

    WTB: Mesa Rectifier Rev C

Of the dozens of amps I've sold over the years, my old Rev C is the only one I kick myself for letting go of. Best of luck on the hunt!

    Gibson 80s Explorer Ebony - ’84 Explorer

I'm curious if there's a limited run Hetfield version in white with an ebony board coming. The black w/ rosewood seems like the move you'd do if you wanted people to pay bigger bucks for a premium model.

    EVH Frankenstein vs Striped?

Right?! Just for fun though, here's the same performance re-amped into my Friedman BE-100. No pedals/boosts, just some delay in the DAW.

    EVH Frankenstein vs Striped?

So what I'm hearing is, that I should get both :)

    EVH Frankenstein vs Striped?

Awesome. That's what it looks like browsing the specs, but I've never played the non-relic so I just wanted to double check.

    EVH Frankenstein vs Striped?

Thanks! I can't play anything like Ed, but it's fun anyway.

    EVH Frankenstein vs Striped?

That's what I'm wondering. There's an $850 price difference, so if it's just a relic job and a pickup that's different, I'll grab the white and black one with a Floyd.

    EVH Frankenstein vs Striped?

So, GAS has struck hard. I recently set up an EVH Frankenstein relic for a student of mine and absolutely fell in love with it. I'm not normally a Floyd guy, but the dive-only Floyd paired with the D-Tuna is just a blast. That said, I've always loved the look of the black and white version with...

Mod rectifier rev G into rev F

I did that mod to a Rev G Triple Rectifier and it was cool. Didn't sound exactly like my old Rev C, but it was cool. Just keep in mind that like a Rev C, you lose the clean channel.
