My last band, Straight Jacket Theory, is on all the socials. iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon, YouTube, etc... The reality is that we are older musicians. We have wives, kids, "real" jobs, mortgages, car notes.... life. It's meat and potatoes hard rock. I stopped trying to be Dream Theater...
While I write and record my own music, I have come to realize that it is just for me. I am proud of all of the songs that I have written with various bands over the years... but no one really cares...lol!
I've pretty much only played original music for the past 20 years. The scene here in...
I picked up an LTD JM-II last year. I wasn't thrilled with the price, but the guitar is absolutely killer. The attention to detail is there, and the fret work was flawless. It has become my main recording guitar for heavier stuff. And unlike some of the over-the-top boutique guitar brands...
I've had both.... I vastly prefer the Aldrich. It is fuller sounding and the highs are more rounded and pleasant. With the SSH+ I find the highs to be a bit harsh. YMMV.
Checking out the BKP Rebel Yell in my CS R7 Custom. The guitar is all mahogany. I've had this pickup in both of my other Les Pauls, but the all mahogany body is definitely a different animal. Playing through my EVH 5150 III 100S into a TwoNotes Captor X.
Well, for most of my music life, I have only had one amp at a time. Right now it's an EVH 5150 III. Does just about everything that I need an amp to do.
Playing with the Josh Middleton IRs. This time using Cab 5 TL-4 and 421-2. This is the EVH speaker in his IR pack. This is straight into the amp with the Blue and Red channels. Bone dry... no delay crutches for me tonight! haha! lol! The PS-100 is there to knock the volume down on the cab...
So he provides what you asked for and then you say "that doesn't count"...? lol
Here he is using the Stealth.... and it still sounds like good old Edward. If you can't make it speak, you can't make it speak. The gear only gets you so far.
I hear ya. I actually find that the Green channel can be very glassy and nice if you dial it in that way. Which I laugh at, because I've basically played a single channel amp for so long that I rarely switch channels when I have a channel switching amp...lol!
Sweetwater has the PS100 for $40 a month right now. Just saying.
I've used the Weber Mass 200. It worked will with my Splawn, but not so much with non-Marshall based circuits. I have and use the Two Notes Captor X, but that is for the IR function for live and recording. I recently ordered...
There are very few "chick guitarists" that I follow online. I'm not interested in the "oh my tit is falling out while a play a crap version of an ACDC song. With that said, Ana Vidovic is a very serious musician that happens to be very pretty.
I got a chuckle out of this thread. We love to bitch about companies like Marshall and Gibson for no innovating, but when they try something new, we bitch that they should stick to the tried-and-true designs.
I had the Classic/Classic Plus for a brief time. I was underwhelmed... especially for the street price. There are simply better pickups for the money. The Classic Plus that I had was microphonic af.
