Also, I do dig Clutch but should know more of their material. I saw them last year, and thought they put a great show on.
Definitely a great band, quite consistent these days in terms of what they're releasing. They also do put a very good show on. Deadwing is probably one of my all-time favorite discs.
I'm a staunch believer in these pups. Despite the light weight of the chambers LP studio reissue I own with P90's in it, I tell you that I've never played another axe that absolutely sings like this does. Despite some of her flaws, she is the. bomb.
Like most art, folks write because it's something we are just inclined to do. Whether you consider it worth the effort and expense to share it with others on a large scale is a different matter, and there's really no wrong answer to that one....
IMO, production-wise, 10k days is a little better than Lateralus. But Lateralus has better songs, and is musically a much better effort from start to finish.
And I'll agree completely on his live sound, absolutely monstrous.
