+1 on the dremel. I used that to open up a pick up cavity on my PRS SE One to yank the soap bar out. I through a mounting ring on top and you couldn't tell at all I did it myself. Router works too but can be hard to handle if you're not used to it.
I second the Vetta. I got a 2x12 Vetta with the long board used for $350. it has every sound I'll ever need for cover stuff and then I have me "real" amp for my original band lol. But as soon as I started doing covers again it was my first purchase.
Haha good point!!! AB is a killer group. and after a few months the record is growing on me a little more. The fire-drill theory is defenatley holding tru tho. I dont feel they spent the time to produce an all around AB record. To me a lot of the songs sound "creedish." i dunno just my opinion
Def Pauly
Mark Morton/Willie Adler, Mark Tremonti, Jim Root, Misha Mansoor/Jake Bowen, Adam D, Jochem Jacobs, Loomis, Alec "Acle" Kahney, Marc Okubo, Paul Waggoner, etc
I started on my mom's Zim Garr, but my first owned was a B.C Rich Bronze Series Warlock... Every 13 year old that wanted to be Mick Thompson had to have one lol
For the money I love my PRS Paul Allender SE... of course I bought it brand new when they first came out and paid like $750 for it... just saw one go on CL for $350 so that kinda hurts, but I'll never sell this thing its a trooper.
the answer is obviously a Line 6 Spyder IV Combo
Just kidding. Seriously tho, I love my 5150, but I can't pick just one. I'd say Herbert, SLO, 5150, or Mark IV. This is of what I've played... theres prob a ton more but I can't justify it until I've...
Oh ok i see what your saying.. IMO they're so different I never would have connected that... Maybe Creed is a Pearl Jam fan cuz Scott Stapp wants to sound like Vedder in worst way lol
With the amount of head room this thing has w/ those speakers anything with a "brutal" tone would be killer. I'd imagine a 5150/6505, Herbert, Invader, Uberschall, etc would sound great thru this thing
I dunno man I like Rock music and dig VH.... however I'm not a Rush fan. I usually get a negative response with that statement especially because I'm in a prog band lol
Im adding a vote to the Mesa list here. I'm not a big Marshall fan... the 1960 cabs a pretty "standard" but in my opinion Mesa cabs are built like tanks, sound great, and their "V30" is pretty killer.
If we are opening up the discussion to other cabs:
Bogner Uberkab - ENGL Pro 412 - Diezel 4x12
Blackbird - Alter Bridge
Sweet Child - GNR
Goodbye to Romance - OZZY
Jetpacks Was Yes - Periphery
Right of Passage - Dream Theater (kinda shreddy solo but its awesome)
