Awesome thanks so much... also I was reading on the L6 forum that some people had issues if they didn't use a voltage regulater. Anyone know anything about that?
I don't know what any of those words mean  ... I've had this for 4 days lol and if 5150 isn't on the front it takes me a while lol. Can u elaborate that for me?
I recently picked up a vetta combo and I'm really digging the versatility and all the amp models. I was wondering if anyone has one that could help me find settings, and teach me any tricks as I've never really had a procesor before.
Also, I was jamming on it at rehersal the other day and when...
+1 on the CAA cabs!!! My buddy is the manager at the local GC and he's had a CAA 2x12 sitting there for like 6 months. Its got the Eminence Guvners in it but it sounds mean... I think its going for $400ish. Killer cab!!
I use Elixer's on my acoustic exclusively..... However IMO their elctric strings just don't feel right. I use D'Addario (10-46?) for standard and drop D....and GHS (10-60) for Drop A and B Standard.
+1 on the ENGL Pro Cab!!! It's a killer. I recently had this dilemma and scored a sweet deal on a Diezel 4x12... Pics will come soon I promise. Here was my list I was lookin at
ENGL Pro
Diezel
Splawn
Orange
Mesa Recto
So.... I swapped the Avatar 4x12 for the Mesa 410AR. I played with it for a night and really didn't dig it for myself, I guess I'm not big on the 10" speaker thing. I sold the bass half stack and the Mesa last night and made enough $$$ to get the last 2 speakers I need for my Diezel Cab and snag...
The bands we're covering are Blink 182, Green Day, Foo Fighters, Cold, Breaking Benjamin, SR71, Sum 41, Beyonce, Linkin Park, Big and Rich, Harvey Danger, Tonic, 3 Doors Down, Shinedown, Michael Jackson, Buckcherry, etc.
The recto or the marshall is def the jack of all trades when it comes to the cabs of choice. If your lookin to fill the recto cab on the cheap check out WGS speakers amazing for the money. both are good choices tho and I think you'll be pretty happy with both. Those Avatars are sweet too tho.
So I'm joining a cover band for some extra dough... gotta support this gear habit somehow lol. The list of songs they gave me was very straight forward bar type stuff (straight rock/hard rock). Someone offered me a Mesa 4x10 for my avatar and Im thinking about the trade... If so.... What type...
Im not a big Marshall guy personally, however as stated if they are the black back '78's you will be very happy if they're in good shape. As for the Mesa, I love a nice Mesa cab. What sound are you aiming for cause that may help give a better opinion
I am personally not a fan of Fender Teles. IMO I feel like you get a much better sound/playable instrument if you go w/ Suhr, Tom Anderson, etc. On the cheap, I used to have and absolutely loved my old SX Tele, as dumb as it sounds I tested bothe the SX and the Fender and the SX felt more...
