Thanks all!!! Im a happy camper. Im waiting on the trem arm from Ibz (GC lost it lol) and then I'm gonna decide what to do w/ the pick up situation. It sounds good by itself, but I know It will kill with something else in there... Im also getting a 27 fret ESP for my Bday next month so then i...
So I finally decided to trade my PRS SE One that I had plus a couple boss pedals and ended up paying like nothing for my new Ibanez S520EX. I'm pretty excited. I always wanted a nicer Ibz, and for the style music I'm playing this thing will fit right in!!
Question.... what pickups should get...
i had the dimarzio's in my old strat and it was awesome... had to sell the damn thing cuz a had to pay for car repairs... but those lil dimarzios were killerz
5150 Script User here!! I fuckin love this thing. I've had for a few months now and I'm hooked. Str8 forward brutal tone. I also use a TS9 and an MXR Zakk Wylde OD. I usually have the gains somewhere around 10 oclock and the good ol' 666 setting. can't beat it especially for the price.
I like it too... I got it as a gift from my bandmates a few years ago. Soapbar was cool, but I had stopped playing it when I got the Paul Allender SE. I had the dimarzio layin around and figured why not lol. did some routing to make it fit and added a tone knob to it. Sounds great plays...
My first guitars were my mom's from when she was a kid:
Electric - Zim Gar strat style late 70's
Acoustic- Applause Red bowlback from the late 70's
When I got older like 14, my dad took me to a local mom and pop shop and bought me a BC Rich Warlock starter pack. I wanted to be like Mick...
I picked up an Ibanez RG7321 for like $100, great for just getting into the 7's. I'd love to grab an S series 7 string next, but if ur into the 6 strings u can def drop tune. I have a PRS SE One that I have in B with 13 gauge's on it and it sounds great; after gutting the soapbar and throwing...
:hys: :hys: :hys: Poor Mark and his Wah!!! I definately agree... Can't wait to see them again... hope they play a minimal amount from the new album tho Im not overly thrilled with it
Im a huge AB fan, Myles is a really good guitarist, a little more blues style lead than Tremonti. His addition to the guitar playing line-up definately improved the overall sound of the band both live and in the studio... but as far a pure skill, knowledge and chops I gotta say Tremonti IMHO...
I got to agree with Carvin #1, excellent craftsmanship, great service, and premium parts... also Schecter for the money is pretty awesome depending on the model. Based on whats listed tho Ibanez is killer. With Ibz you can get a really great guitar for under a $1,000 with all the bells and...
Seriously not something that happens here alot. Since I've been here Ive met a lot of great people willing to share their knowledge and enthusiasm of gear. Kirk I hope u can overlook this and im sorry it happened on ur first thread bro
I agree with being on the road, but also with all they're other priorities. Creed getting back together, Miles being in "England" (Zepp) and doing the Slash record, etc. I guess its hard to swallow as a die hard fan... If you can't put ur best work forward don't do a record. But what do I...
Yeah its the half space, but i don't know anyone thats used it... I was really looking for half space hush II, or the MXR(white) or NS2. ideally I want 2 noise gates, but my budget blows lol.
