I can't WAIT to see the epic meltdown this place will have seeing Fluff as the backdrop on those pages :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
These links got taken down. I was only able to see the 800 and then poof gone.
Not only did Marshall listen to their customers, they also got the memo of their competitors to charge $3K+ for the amp. I guess it is what it is…
Hell, I'd even be happy with Classic Tones.
What's your take on Classic Tone BTW? I've owned and A/B'd Splawns with the Heyboer and Classic Tones and honestly didn't hear any difference.
You guys all convinced me to go with one over the H9 and I'm glad I did. The sound quality is spectacular. To my ears it sounds as good as the 9000 but obviously nowhere near as comprehensive. I personally don't need all that power. Also, I know its a douche move but I bought an H9 to see if the...
I can see why you say that but I'm one who doesn't fall into that category and there are others as well. I have a Rev G that was modded to a C and while I get the appeal of the sound, I fairly quickly wanted to put it back to G specs (and I did) since I prefer the wall of sound heft of the recto...
Well that could very well be true. The whole point on being curious or intrigued by the factory Marshall mods is to see just how they stack up against all the talented builders and modders we have around. Can they even compete bro???!? My money says no but we will see.
ALSO, I do realize this...
What’s interesting is that pic above shows preamp ch 3 and ch 4. Is this the mini JVM a lot of people have been asking for? It’s confusing because article clearly states it’s a JCM model.
I agree with this post the most. I've owned them all except the first OG model. I equally love my Rev 2 and UU for the reasons mentioned above.
Its universally the least favorite of the Uber family due to the most confusing EQ controls ever on any amp in existence LOL I've owned a shit ton of...
You’re on fire with gear these days homie LOL!
I’m a sucker for gold guitars. HNGD. Put some black bobbin pups on that bitch. LP’s without pickguard I like open pickups. With pickguard I like covers.
Unfortunately the US models command a little more so I see them anywhere between $850-$1100 which is lame. They are all built well no matter what country of origin and they all sound the same.
Yeah Framus has KSE to thank for their short lived popularity for sure! I’ve owned V2 without ext bias and V3 w/ ext bias of both the Dragon and Cobra. The Dragon is like a drier grainier JCM800 with enormous low end. The Cobra was a super tight dry SLO/Recto. Both needed channel volume cranked...
HNAD! A solid first Marshall to own.
While the amp is open when you mod it, be sure to replace and add resistors to the pilot light to avoid it from flickering and burning out. Notorious issue with those amps.
