    Tonewood Poll

Nit pick away... we are discussing tonewoods after all haha! Honestly? Full on retardation, I just had a brain shart. Don't worry though, as soon as I find some killer space wood, Ill be sure to let Rigtalk know first.

    Tonewood Poll

Hahaha I'm a spud sorry I meant 5000 miles! 22k miles I'd be on another planet harvesting rare tone woods to sell on reverb at crazy prices haha

    Tonewood Poll

I'd love to but I'm about 22000 miles away :( Again I'm open minded to being proven wrong, I just haven't experienced it personally. It's also rare I'm around 2 identical built guitars just with different woods.

    Tonewood Poll

I wasn't making that argument. I was replying to: (And to your second paragraph I agree.) I agree. That's why I linked Luthiers explaining why tone wood doesn't matter rather than audio samples. Around 60+ over the years. Mostly swapped pickups, rarely stock. They all sustain, react, weigh...

    Tonewood Poll

Let's just say it was on "permanent loan". (No I didn't steal it) haha. But honestly if you get the chance to try an alternative material guitar, diffidently try. The industry eventually will move to alternatives when rare woods become unsustainable to harvest.

    Tonewood Poll

Yeah I had a 070 for ages. I can promise you no one who listened to our album wrote into me to say "I could tell you used a plastic guitar and it ruined the album for me." Funnily enough no one cared/knew!

    Tonewood Poll

I stick by these rules: - Don't listen with your eyes - If it sounds good, it probably does So if a plywood squire into Peavy Bandit nails the tone, I couldn't give two shits of what folks on forums have to say about it haha.

    Tonewood Poll

The irony being that people do use them and if you closed your eyes, you would never even know. Some killer companies: https://fibertone-guitars.com/ https://aristidesinstruments.com/ Holds about as much weight (or less) as just saying "trust me bro, it does". :p

    Tonewood Poll

Guitars are being made out of plastic, fiber glass more commonly etc because folks have realized it doesn't matter.

    Tonewood Poll

Plenty videos debunking the dogma. Sadly people have eaten up the "tonewood" marketing and even convince themselves they can hear a discernible difference. But of-course, they never provide a null test. Often instead resulting to personal insults or defensiveness instead which usually says...

The more folks send traffic to these videos, the more ad revenue these guys get. It's pretty clever really, as much as I can't stand the format.

Looks like a ring door bell haha! Pretty cool tech though, cool concept. Just does the opposite of what I want to do when I practice... which is get away from the computer!

Malmsteen " Master clinic" last night.. Fury Released!

I highly recommend everyone read the Yngwie Autobiography, then read the Unofficial Biography straight after. The same stories, COMPLETELY different perspectives.

If you were going to purchase a Kemper, AXEFX, or Synergy gear…

You can't hear it though.... it just makes you feel weird and your left testicle tingle.

If you were going to purchase a Kemper, AXEFX, or Synergy gear…

Let me send you 10 WAV files, 5 from analog, 5 from digital, using the same DI loop. Using all your evidence and knowledge above, put your dogma to practice and prove us all wrong? I've had enough of folks pointing at graphs and diagrams trying to tell me what I'm hearing. If it sounds good...

If you were going to purchase a Kemper, AXEFX, or Synergy gear…

All we're asking is you back up your claim with proof via a simple test. We all agree a Square, Sine, Triangle and Saw wave sound different. So we can park that discussion. I'm guessing you only listen to music on record and record on magnetic tape? Since anything played back by your...
