    Let's Talk About Slayer

80's through early 90s they are the best metal band ever IMO. Every album was great in it's own way. ALL HAIL SLAYER!!!

Pickup for LP with big bottom

"Anyone have ideas for a bridge pickup with big bottom end? Not interested in it being tight- would actually prefer some sag. Guitar is already bright and tight so looking to add some cushy beef to it. High gain Hard rock type tones into Marshalls. Medium to higher output preferred but I like...

Who wants their own signature OD ?? Free pedal giveaway !!

Blasting Cap overdriver based on a VFE Focus/Standout but instead of a mix control have a mid-boost like an MXR custom badass. So it would have a super strong level, the hpf and lpf, and then the mid-boost on a button or toggle. Since it would have no clipping, it would be an overdriver, not...

Is it safe to use an 8 Ohm cab with a 16 Ohm output on amp?

No. Doing so will result in the amp running hotter than intended.

Soooo… $3499 for the RI Dual Rec?

I do remember a long time ago watching one of Fluff's videos where he talked about his Les Paul's NOT holding their tuning very well. Maybe this is revenge for that. I think he was saying how he didn't use them for shows too often due to their poor stability. hahaha

    Dual Recto revision?

$1800 is bit steep even if it looks brand new still. I'd bet they don't get more than $1200 but who knows. IMO there's nothing at all lacking in an original 3-channel, given you like the rectifier sound to begin with. The Multi-Watt is a bit brighter and tighter, but the OG is a bit fatter and...

So another "Gear" forum reports the MESA multi-watt is 86'd. Wat say you ?

MW should be abundant on the used market for a long time. I'm not sure which era or version has sold the most, but the MW is the longest running era and has probably been revised or altered by far the least of any era.

Reissue Recto - Found a clip

Just say'n that when people compare them and say "close but not quite there" they need to take tubes into account. I actually have a stash of the 420s plus plenty of those older preamp tubes that were stock in these way back.

Reissue Recto - Found a clip

It still won't have those older 420 coke bottles though. I guess they probably have the JJ/445.

Reissue Recto - Found a clip

Old small logo looks stupid anyways IMO. Is this a rev-G or an F? Probably is a bit different than either I'm guessing.

    Freaking GC bullchit

Tribute tone was great IMO. Not sure who was in control of that, and who was or wasn't in control of his album tones.

For that price I thought all those dots must be push-button mods.
