Yeah I'd agree to trade it or sell it and go for a Mesa. Oversized/Recto slant is very close in regards to internal volume compared to a traditional-size straight cab, so don't resist the very easy to find recto-slant, even if it's much newer than the 2000's era it will still have the 8ohm UK...

I bet they would mix very well with the CL-80. I'd put both reds on top if mixed in a 412. CL-80 have the loudest perceived volume to my ears of any Celestion model.

So what about the series2 single/rectoverb? It allows for EL34s to run while using diode/bold. (?) Personally the only pair I've used in mine are the mesa str-447 yellows.

Yeah I wished they were switchable too. Parallel is great if you are running something like a single chorus, but trying to get a wet/dry balance across multiple pedals can be impossible, and then obviously it's a problem with time-based stuff like delays.

I still do this one now and then. This, MOP, and AJFA are my favorites from them. IMO Show No Mercy destroys anything in the early 80s in the realm of metal.

Early Def Leppard does it for me as far as the Marshall rock tone goes. I'd say it's just a slightly improved ac/dc tone really. The difference is probably just the pickups they used.

12v ACA-style pedals will run perfectly off of a PSA adapter, or any 9v as long as they are daisy-chained with at least one regular 9v pedal in the chain also.
