So far im not diggin the isp...chops too much off...will see if i can muster the confidence to try this....may try some other pickups first....i dont want to accidentally ruin the wcr's.
Do you guys find potting negatively affect tone...or does it reduce the need for a noise gate by controlling high gain squeal....i am getting squeals on my lighly potted wcr pus and am using the isp to knock it down...will potting fix this?
I have a isp decimator g pedal and am figuring out if i truly need it or not.
When playing in a smaller room it seems to be necessary to kill the squeal when using higher gain on my be100. When i play in a larger room it doesnt seem to squeal and may not be needed.
The isp has to be set with...
I agree with Jim...I ran a Port City OS 2x12 with M75's and it had too much low end and didn't sound right with the amp I had or speakers. It led me to get rid of the amp but it was the ported cab that threw off the tone.
Ported could work with some amps...don't think it's a good idea with...
I love my quad of BM75's too. I go the BM75 LHDC 65watters.
To me they have most of the core M75 tone but have an extra bite on top that puts it imbetween a M75 and H75. I wonder if anyone has mixed BM's and M's?
I am running the BE100 W/D/W with an eventide eclipse and two Mesa...
Wonder how the hot rod 25 stacks up vs the Friedman Pink Taco...seethe HR25 has a clean. I am looking for an amp to compliment my be-100. Could get the PT and 1x12 for less than the HR25.
Anyone play both?
I had the 50w combo....loved it.
Had the four mode mod put in but found the volume dropped/ changed when switching modes.
Essentially you have your pick of the three modes and channel two.
The mega on ch1 is a very good marshally tone...clean was good too.
I would love it if you could get the...
I agree with Rob...this is a loss for RT.
He's still well represented on the Metro forum and other places.
Jim's one of the nicest and most helpful guys around. I'll never play through anything other than Scumbacks myself.
So i guess i wonder what it would be like...what would be the downside of going frfr and no 4x12. Benefits seem to be lower volume and the ability to run the amp harder. Less weight to lug around too.
Would to hear any all opinions on using the atomic clr or matrix frfr box before i pull the...
What can i expect if i ditch my 4x12 and go with a two notes live and an atomic clr?
Seems like the way to go to drop volume without iusing an attenuator. Opinions?
Would be using my be-100 and going w/d/w with an eventide eclipse for fx
His pickups really rock too.
I only have two guitars and they both have WCR's in them.
I really like his new Murkat for F spaced guitars...JB ish but smoother.
An Awesome superstrat pickup.
The Godwood and Darkburst are awesome PAF types for Les Pauls too.
I know a lot of guys here play MCP...
I meant the BE channel. I currently use the koko boost and wonder if there's another pedal that can give another sound for leads.
The koko may be hard to beat and I may just stick with it....I tried a AM silver 808 and it was OK but nothing great.
I"m curious about the Tone Freak Naked OD, Suhr...
I have the BE100 and use a koko boost....anyone using a true OD and getting good results.
Hear the maxon 808 works pretty well...any others worth noting?
