What did Cameron modded amps cost back in the day

They were almost always sold via the old Rig-Talk and 750.00-1100.00ish for used Cameron modded Marshalls. The Sovteks were even a bit cheaper back then. I've been here a long time, and things have changed a lot.

    Speaker Comparison: Soldano 4x12 - V30s vs V30 Scumback BM75LD Mix

Scumbacks are my favorite speakers and I love the BM75's I have. Listening to this though I like the V30 more. Maybe something about the pairing with the bm75ld, or just that you didn't adjust your settings on the amp for the new pairing, but it sounds too shrill and harsh to me. But you...

Get ready to be mad... the Fortin Killer Kali module is awesome!

That makes sense, but my Cali-modded JCM800-Super Bass was wayyyy prior to him releasing his own amps. It actually was quite a bit prior to him stopping his mods as well .. It has the 2 different switchings for diode clipping and 2 different gain pots, bright switchings for both gains...

Get ready to be mad... the Fortin Killer Kali module is awesome!

I don't post here much, but yea there's a few of us.. I was never in any cliques here, but it's always been a a good gear forum.. . Unfortunately some died over the years, and some last, and some move to other forums or quit playing. . I've been a gearhead since I was a teenager, and love...

Get ready to be mad... the Fortin Killer Kali module is awesome!

Oh man, way before Brad King. I can't quite remember details but I remember Bob Savage was 1 of the 1st people here, and I know Sgt Thump (Chris Snider) had it also before Brad.

Get ready to be mad... the Fortin Killer Kali module is awesome!

They did work together on it a long time back. . I'm older than you and remember it. lol.. Then I was probably 1 of the first few in the US to send an amp to Gower for the KK mod. I had 50 watt RI Marshall 1987 that had been screwed around with and decided to mail it Great Britain to be...

Get ready to be mad... the Fortin Killer Kali module is awesome!

Good point! I have a Gower Killer Kali and have a Fortin Cali-modded JCM800 SuperBass and they're nowhere near alike.. The Fortin-Cali modded was a Jose-type mod (long before he came out with his Cali amp) and the Killer Kali+ I have from Dan is not a Jose-Mod hmmm

anyone do the full time “club circuit”?

You bet man! It was killer and a lot of the guys made it pretty big. I just watched your clip in LV of your tribute band and wow that's fantastic! Jimi Bell actually plays in a Deep Purple tribute act now as 1 of his projects. Haven't seen him play in years, but he was my bassist's idol...

anyone do the full time “club circuit”?

I love reading this stuff too! It's always differed by which part of the country you're in. in Vermont our big bar/club-circuit 'covers' bars were long gone by the mid-90's but we had a huge original band scene then, and of course the cover-bands still played but long gone were the days of...

anyone do the full time “club circuit”?

Cool, cool cool!! The bands I were referencing were the club circuit bands that played hard rock covers/80s metal covers. But I’ve been to the Rat, the Lliving Room, the Channel, the Spit/Axis, and Toad's Place, all for amazing new wave/punk shows!!!

anyone do the full time “club circuit”?

Not sure what years you're talking about but drinking age for me was 18 as well and I've been in VT. I used to see MANY Connecticut circuit bands here in Vt.. There was great 80's metal there. Were you familiar with Doug Blair from Run21, Cosmic Joe from Jimmy Carter Show, etc and Jimi...

anyone do the full time “club circuit”?

Are you talking back in the late 70's-mid 80's by chance? I'm old, and that's when the circuit club bands existed in New England where I live. My girlfriend who I bought my house with in the late 80's did that for years as a lead singer in a circuit band, and my current bassist for the past 30...

Well All My Gear May Be Destroyed...

I live in Vermont, and the lead singer of my bands for over 20 years was a National Crew Chief for the emergency wildfire crews. Every year he headed to Montana, Oregon, California, etc to work these huge fires and train all kinds of people in what to do. He made large amounts of cash each...

I hope @Fusionbear is OK.. He hasn't posted since Wednesday and the fire was just a few streets away. He didn't seem too worried by his posts but I would've been!

Dafuq did I just buy… incoming

I figured the 1 other option that you didn't post , is you liked it so much, you wanted to get in your order for more of them before other people did! Sorry to hear about your wife's surgery, and hopefully she's on the mend quickly. Unreal how they can produce this stuff in the Ukraine...

Totally curious why you sold it? I know how life is, but still curious! I was on the forums when these came out and always wanted one but couldn't afford it.. Now I can, but have a museum worth of cool amps already . How good is the gain channel on this?
