Wonder why all the MK2C+ ads are gone , but the 8600.00 Uberschall remains??? Hmmm... 1 of you suckers didn't buy 5 Mesas for $15K each did you? Package deal for $60,000??? omg. .
I fully agree. That eq was created specifically for those Mark series amps. . Why use that formula for other amps? Oh well, there are $10,000 rack eq's, so I guess 275.00 isn't that expensive. . ha. . Too expensive for my ears though for a guitar amp eq

So it seems a bit crazy to me the Mesa is only 5 bands and 275.00. . Has someone compared that to cheaper EQ's (Boss GE7, MXR 6 or 10 band eq's,etc? ) I owned a Mesa MKIII with the GEQ and a Studio 22 with it many moons ago and I know how powerful their eq's are, but just curious

Interesting post.. . I just checked out his Facebook last night after reading this thread, and he's been posting regularly. He was touring with Dickie Betts, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Staind, etc. He even answered a guy's (not complicated question) on 1 of his amps.. . Hate hearing these...
It'd probably help if you told people which N4 you have, i.e. which wood, and which pickups are in it, then someone who's had one could help. . I have 1 of the cheaper Washburn Nuno's and I ended up putting Bare Knuckles Rebel Yells in it and they matched it great, but mine won't be near as...
So I have 1 of these. . It just says Bill Lawrence USA, and LSR USA on it. It appears to have white, black, red, and ground wires in a grey wrap: . How do I know which model it is?
I've been here since Sgt Thump/Chris ran the place and then Brad and then this, but guess I don't know the rules! lol. . I didn't sell it here. I sold the pedal on another forum, so I'm confused?

Well in the 4 years there's been about 50 new boosts available! I could never own just one as I have too many amps, but there's lots of nice boosts that's for sure
Eric
I have loads of speakers but have only heard 1 Smallblock (It's stil in my StreetRod combo I've had about 10 years or more now) . . The Man-O-War and any type of Greenback speaker (like Scumbacks, original Greenbacks, original tan/cremebacks (from the 70's) , Splawn Small Blocks, etc) aren't...
THanks for posting your experience. . I'm going to dig out my Jan Phillips as I believe they also have the blue lettering. If they're that great and I missed it years ago when I got them, that'll be great :) Otherwise I'll sell them to someone else who'll appreciate them, as I think I have...
Great thread! Keep it coming! Also when you're giving info/advice can you say whether you're recording 1) Mic'ing a cabinet 2) With 1 or 2 mics 3) Playing direct with IR's 4) Using an OX or Boss TAE or something like that, etc, etc? 5) How many tracks are you layering, etc etc?

NOt a problem! We have not sat in the same room, with the same amps, dialed in the same, played at the same volumes, with the same guitars, playing the same styles. All that factors in, and I KNOW my ears are nowhere the same today as they were 10, 20 , 30 , or 40 years ago! With that...
Maybe I need to experiment more with the Phase Inverter tubes in my amps before spouted my mouth off? Ha. . I really havent ever noticed them being very vital for tone, and I thought I gave up my tube neurosis years. I'll have to check. I only have the Orange Tube Tester and it's worked...
You're a connoisseur. If you can ever find the Yugoslavian 12ax7's from the 1980's before they were stamped "EI" they're my favorite ever and they just said Made in Yugoslavia on them. . They then started having the EI White Circle and they were nowhere near as rich, ballsy and toneful, and...
