How many of the high gain guys here has it and is a keeper for them? I did a search on the tube and it seems like Hermansson mod is just about as tight as every bit but with a distinct sizzle on topend that sound 3D ? Full and spongy tone there.... But what his work on mods has to offer...

Thanks for the nice advise guys.... one thing,is the amp real slough? I really never played a rectifier before but i did jump right into the Fryettes and then wizard and subsequently a mark IV b all are keeper for me... .my bad was owning few diezels it just didnt work for me but VH4 was a good...

Thanks for chiming in !! I was also thinking of doing a KT88 - el34, instead of el34 -6l6 tube swap... would anyone advise on such an idea of its gonna work out for triple rect with KT88 tubes? Would the KT88 steer out of the tone of the rects ? Apologise all recto purist ...
