    4 cable method.

That's me - I think the key to the G System is to use balanced cables. I have been through so much gear over the years, I think now I have found the tones in my head by using the G and Mark. It is such a simple setup - no external buffers, ground lifts, gates etc. Couldn't be happier!

    Any Triaxis users out there?

After about 15 years, I will be selling my Triaxis to go to the Axe-Fx. Not that the Triaxis doesen't sound great, it is just time for a change, and having the MK IV too it is kind of overkill for me.

hot and humid. best way to take care of guitars

Here is the answer I got from PRS when I asked... Hi Michael, Thank you for writing to Paul Reed Smith Guitars. We keep the factory temperature at 74 degrees and the humidity level between 40 – 45%. We find these conditions to be optimal and recommend storing your PRS guitars in a similar...

Why buy ONE McCarty, when you can buy TWO?

Chris, If you send an email to PRS with the serial number, they will be able to tell you if it was a special order. Great score!

What are your favorite "sounding" albums?

Thanks guys, now I am on a Queensryche kick. Hear in the Now Frontier is very dry, but very well put together. Best sounding QR album to my ears. Tower of Power - What is Hip? sounds amazing Living Colour - Vivid Rush - Snakes and Arrows (studio) - check out The Main Monkey Business

    Queensryche...

Hear in the Now Frontier was a great album! Tones and songwriting were amazing, and it is still one of my favorites Unfortunately it was all downhill from there. MindCrime II was awful. It was a crime for them to put that out.

Anyone have an Ernie Ball Axis?

I have a Steve Morse and it almost plays itself. No worries with quality on any of their guitars.

Juggernaut cost me two nights sleep!

My IV is a widebody 1x12 combo, and sounds great on its own, but when I slave out of that back into the switcher and to the 2:90 out the 4x12, it sounds huge (the 1x12 is still on, as the MKIV needs a load). With the GCX, I would route the guitar in the front panel, using #1 as the Triaxis, and...

Juggernaut cost me two nights sleep!

That is going to be a sweet setup. I look forward to seeing the completed version. Love the ADAs. There won't be much you can't do with that rack!

Juggernaut cost me two nights sleep!

I love the GCX, but the Mesa High Gain Amp Switcher is great. I was having issues with ground loops with the GCX, to the point where I gave up this rack project more than once.

Juggernaut cost me two nights sleep!

It was actually pretty funny - My wife wasn't pleased, and my seven year old kept coming in asking if he could test it! My garage floor had cables all over it, and I kept thinking about routing and re-routing. I am very pleased with the results, and it is cool to get back to the big rack.

Juggernaut cost me two nights sleep!

After watching the progress of building his new rack, I got the itch to combine my MK IV combo / G major and Triaxis / Intellifex separate setups. Here are the results. I let my neighbor's son borrow the ART and my Ibanez RG 550, and got them back this weekend after about 1 year. For as...

Can you use a Midi Switch to Control Mesa Mark IV

RockMAN Octopus works great, as does the Peavey Midi Pro (also under $100 on ebay). Personally, I agree with Kage about the GCX and Ground Control Pro. Hard to be beat.
